Ever wonder why the King
James Bible has kept thee,
thou, and ye in their text?
Those pronouns are God's
way of showing us to whom
he is speaking to you and
me as individuals or to a
group of people. If you do
not know who He is speaking
to, how do you know if God's
command is for you or not?
You are probably asking
yourself, 'What does this have
to do with the New American
Standard (bible) corrupting
Jesus Christ's command to
be born again? Please
keep reading to find the
answer and why it is so
critical for you to
understand - otherwise
you cannot understand
God's Holy Word!
Before I get to the subject
of this Bible study, here is
a helpful way of remembering
I forget where I saw this easy
way of remembering how to
know if God is speaking to
us as a person or to a group
of people. I am sorry I do
not remember where I read
this helpful rule so you can
understand your Holy
Bible better!
The pronouns Thee, Thou,
Thy, and Thine start with a
'T' (ONE crossbar) and
those pronouns are speaking
of or to ONE individual
(singular).
The pronouns Ye, You, Your,
and Yours start with a 'Y'
(TWO crossbars) and are
speaking of TWO or more
individuals (plural).
Now to get to the study of
why the NAS has corrupted
Jesus Christ's command
that every person must be
born again.
Jesus was speaking to
Nicodemus, a Jewish
religious leader, about
being born again
(spiritually). In God's Holy
Word, the King James Bible,
the verse has both "thee"
and "ye" in the sentence.
That is important to our
understanding this critically
important command of
Jesus Christ to us.
John 3:7 [Jesus Christ,
speaking to Nicodemus:]
Marvel not that I said unto
thee, Ye must be born
again.
Jesus Christ said He was
speaking to "thee" (meaning
Nicodemus as an individual),
but then Jesus commanded
"ye" must be born again
(meaning every one of us).
See how important those
pronouns are in determining
to whom Jesus Christ is
teaching or commanding.
Jesus says in verse 5 below
that we cannot enter into the
kingdom of God unless we
are all born again! Now, that
is a critical doctrine from
the Son of God, Jesus
Christ, if we want to get
into God's kingdom!
John (KJB)
3:5 Jesus answered, Verily,
verily, I say unto thee, Except
a man be born of water and
of the Spirit, he cannot
enter into the kingdom of
God.
3:6 That which is born of the
flesh is flesh; and that which
is born of the Spirit is spirit.
In the New American
Standard bible version of
that verse 7, it replaces
"thee" and "ye" with "you"
twice. By doing that, the
NAS has changed the
command of Jesus Christ
that that all people must
be born again, not just
Nicodemus! With that
important doctrine removed
unbelievers will read that
verse and think it has
nothing to do with them
because Jesus Christ is
personally only talking to
Nicodemus! How sad that
those people reading the
NAS will never know that
they must be born again to
get into God's kingdom!
John 3:7 New American
Standard - (NAS):
"Do not be amazed that I
said to you, 'You must be
born again.'
And this is just one example
of how God's Holy Word, the
King James Bible's pronouns
make God's Word explicitly
clear what God wants us to
know to get into his kingdom!
It also shows us how God's
doctrinal commands are lost
when sinful mankind rewrites
God's Holy Word to what
he/she thinks God meant to
say! What arrogance, or
maybe ignorance on their
part.
The King James Bible had
been around for hundreds of
years before the newer
'updated' versions came along.
The KJB brought about the
Protestant Reformation and
worldwide revivals! There has
never been anything like that
happening in the world today
with the newer versions; and
that's because they are NOT
God's Word, but men's
words!
God warns us in His Holy
Word that we are not to
change his word or there will
be serious eternal
consequences. I sure
wouldn't want to be those
people who have changed
God's Word when they face
Jesus Christ on Judgment
Day! Here is the scary
warning to those who would
change God's Bible:
Revelation
22:18 For I testify unto
Revelation
22:18 For I testify unto
every man that heareth the
words of the prophecy of this
book, If any man shall add
unto these things, God shall
add unto him the plagues
that are written in this book:
22:19 And if any man shall
take away from the words
of the book of this prophecy,
God shall take away his part
out of the book of life, and
out of the holy city, and from
the things which are written
in this book.
As for our house, we will
As for our house, we will
use God's Holy Word,
the King James Bible!
Praise God for keeping
his many promises to
preserve his word for
ever!
