Why do I say that we will
NOT become angels when
we die? God's Holy
Preserved Word, the King
James Bible, gives us
the answer to that
question.
As shown in the Bible verses
below, when we get to the
"heavenly Jerusalem", we
will be met by two separate
/ different groups...
..."an innumerable company
of angels" AND
..."the spirits of just
..."the spirits of just
men made perfect"
Because these Bible verses
show us that "an innumerable
company of angels" is a
different group from "the
spirits of just men", we can
know that we won't be
angels in heaven!
Hebrews
12:22 But ye are come
unto mount Sion, and unto
the city of the living God,
the heavenly Jerusalem,
and to an innumerable
company of angels,
12:23 To the general assembly
and church of the firstborn,
which are written in heaven,
and to God the Judge of all,
and to the spirits of just
men made perfect,
Also, the "saints" shall
judge the angels. So, if
we who are saved from
our sins are going to
judge the angels, we
can not be the angels!
Read on to find out who
the Bible says are
those saints.
1 Corinthians 6:2-3
Do ye not know that the
saints shall judge the
world?.....Know ye not
that we shall judge
angels?.....
Who are the 'saints' who
will judge the angels? The
Bible says that those
people who have trusted
Jesus Christ as their
Saviour are called saints.
There are many verses in
the New Testament where
it describes followers of
Jesus Christ as 'saints'.
Here are just two of those
verses. If you have Jesus
Christ as your Saviour,
you are a saint.
Revelation 14:12
Here is the patience
of the saints: here are
they that keep the
commandments of
God, and the faith of
Jesus.
1 Corinthians 1:2
Unto the church of God
which is at Corinth, to
them that are sanctified
in Christ Jesus, called
to be saints, with all that
in every place call upon
the name of Jesus Christ
our Lord, both theirs and
ours:
When we get resurrected
into heaven Jesus Christ
said that we will be "equal
to" angels, but He does not
say that we will 'be' angels.
Luke
20:34 And Jesus answering
said unto them, The
children of this world
marry, and are given in
marriage:
20:35 But they which shall
be accounted worthy to
obtain that world, and the
resurrection from the
dead, neither marry, nor
are given in marriage:
20:36 Neither can they
die any more: for they
are equal unto the
angels; and are the
children of God, being
the children of the
resurrection.
So, in conclusion,
contrary to popular
opinion, the Word of
God says that we will
NOT become angels
when we die and go to
heaven!
