Serious Deletions in the NIV

I have done several short
Bible studies on the NIV
in the past on this site;
and then one of my
readers commented
and asked me to do
more such studies on
the NIV. So, here is
the first of those
studies in response to
my reader. I hope this
is helpful to you all.

For this Bible study I
used the NIV (1973,
1978, 1984, and 2011)
on eSword to compare
it with the KJB (King
James Bible).

Incidentally, eSword is
an online software
Bible study program
that you can download
for free that comes
with the KJB on it for
free. You then have
the option to
purchase other
versions if you
want to do comparison
studies with the real
Word of God, the
King James Bible.

NIV - New International
Version

KJV - King James
Version

Now, to the deletions
in the NIV bible. Be
aware that these
are only some of
the deletions. There
are too many to list
all of them here.
And many of the
deletions in the NIV
are also deleted in
other modern
'bible' versions.

'Christ' is one title of
Jesus, signifying that
He was sent from God
to be the anointed King
of Kings and Saviour
of the world.

Now to show you the
many deletions in the
NIV.

Christ is in the KJB -
571 times

Christ is in the NIV -
481 times

Why did the NIV
remove 'Christ' 90
times from their
bible?

***
God is in the KJB -
4473 times

God is in the NIV -
4248 times

Why did the NIV
remove 'God' 225
times from their
bible?

***
LORD is in the KJB
7978 times

LORD is in the NIV
7858 times

Why did the NIV
remove 'LORD'
112 times from their
bible?
***

Devils is in the KJV
55 times

Devils is in the NIV
0  times

The definition of 'devil'
in Webster's 1828
dictionary is an evil
spirit or being; a
fallen angel expelled
from heaven for
rebellions against
God; and another
name for Satan.

So why did the NIV
remove 'devils'
55 times from their
bible?

Devil is in the KJB
61 times.

Devil is in the NIV
35 times.

Why did the NIV
remove 'devil' 26
times from their bible?
***
Hell is in the KJB
54 times.

Hell is in the NIV
13 times.

So, why did the NIV
remove 'hell' 41
times from their bible?
People need to be
warned about hell
so they can avoid
going there!!!
***
Jesus Christ is in the KJB
198 times.

Jesus Christ is in the NIV
132 times.

Why did the NIV
remove 'Jesus Christ'
66 times in their bible?
***
Son of God is in the KJB
48 times.

Son of God is in the NIV
39 times.

Why has the NIV removed
'Son of God' 9 times
in their bible?
***
"The Comforter"
(the Holy Ghost) is in
the KJB 3 times.

"The Comforter" is in
the NIV 0 times.

Why would the NIV
remove the title
'Comforter' (the name
that Jesus gave to
the Holy Ghost)
from their bible?

People in these troubled
times need to know that
the Holy Ghost that
indwells all true
believers is their
Comforter! The NIV
replaces Comforter
with Advocate. When
I am hurting I would
rather have a
Comforter than an
advocate, wouldn't
you?
***
Peace is in the KJB
429 times.

Peace is in the NIV
252 times.

Why would the NIV
remove "peace" from
their bible 177 times?
***
Tribulation is in the
KJB 22 times.

Tribulation is in the
NIV    1 time.

Why would the NIV
remove tribulation 21
times from their bible?
People need to be
warned that there is
great tribulation that
is coming to the earth
in the last days (we
are living in them now)
when God will pour
out his wrath on all
those in the world
who reject His Sinless
Son, Jesus Christ,
as their Saviour.

***
Holy Ghost is in the KJB
90 times.

Holy Ghost is in the NIV
0 times.

Jesus sent the Holy
Ghost (the Comforter)
to dwell inside all new
believers at the
moment of their new
birth. Why would the
NIV remove 'Holy Ghost'
90 times from their bible?

***
Saints is in the KJB New
Testament 61 times.

Saints is in the NIV New
Testament    0 times.

All true believers are
called saints in the
New Testament of the
KJB. Why has the
NIV removed 'saints'
61 times from their bible?
***

This is just a small
sample of what is missing
from the NIV bible. If you
would like to do further
study, I highly
recommend the book
'Look What's Missing'
by David W Daniels at
Chick Publications'
website. Mr. Daniels did
an amazing job showing
what's missing in a lot of
newer bible versions. It
will shock you as it did
me, I am sure. I love
this book and I hope it
helps you in your
search for the truth about
the NIV and other newer
bible versions.
