What Do I Do Now That I Am Saved?

Before I get into the
subject of this post,
here is a link to a
very short, but
important little book
from Chick
Publications that will
help you learn how
to grow in your faith
in Jesus Christ and
how to live to glorify
God the Father in
heaven.
(Just an FYI - I do
not get a commission
from Chick, but I have
read this handy
reference book
several times, and
think it is an awesome
learning tool for all
Christians to read!)

Now to the subject
of this post…
As a new believer in Christ
Jesus I suggest that you
start studying God's Holy
Word, the King James
Bible, beginning in the
New Testament in order
to learn what Jesus Christ
taught his followers (that
includes us) about living
a godly life that honors
God the Father in
heaven. When you live
in obedience to God who
sacrificed His sinless Son
for your sins and mine,
you will feel guilt-free, joyful,
and full of peace because
you are right with God.

2 Timothy 2:15

Study to shew
thyself
approved unto God, a
workman that needeth
not to be ashamed,
rightly dividing the word
of truth.

I recommend that you
use the King James
Bible only. Why? The
King James Bible was
around for hundreds of
years before the 1800's
when ungodly men that
were into the occult and
also Bible critics
(Westcott and Hort) decided
they knew better than God
what His Bible should say!
What arrogance!

The King James Bible
was the Bible that
brought about the
Reformation and
worldwide revivals!

There have been no
worldwide revivals
since the newer bible
versions have been
created! Think about
that. That's the difference
between having
God's Holy-Spirit
inspired and
Preserved Word of
God (the King James
Bible) and a 'bible'
re-written by sinful
men and women who,
in their pride and sin,
think they are smarter
than God and can
rewrite His Holy Word
better than He wrote
it! God promised to
preserve His Word
many times. Is He Not All
Powerful? Is He A
Liar?

Would God allow
the world to go without
a Bible until the 19th
century until some
modern day critic/
scholar/publisher
would come along
and correct His Holy
Word? Would He allow
all those generations to
die and go to hell
because they did not
have the man-made
bibles created by
pagan 'scholars' who
were into the occult,
who worshiped idols and
Mary, who were Bible
critics, who did not
believe that God's Holy
Spirit inspired the men
God chose to write the
Old and New Testaments
of the Bible in HIS
WORDS!

The newer bibles are
man's words, (and
constantly being updated
every year or so) and
not God's PRESERVED
Holy-Spirit-inspired
Words that were
given to godly men who
were afraid to add to or
take away from God's
Holy Word because they
trusted that GOD did
preserve His Holy Word
forever as He promised
to do many times!

Here is a link to my post
called 'Proofs the KJV
is THE Word of God' that
has many resources
that will help you search
the facts for yourself, and
some questions that you
seriously need to think
about. Link here.

Living like Jesus Christ
commanded us to live
will transform your
thoughts, your actions,
and your words! You
truly will be "a new
creature" (2 Corinthians
5:17) and no longer
desire the activities
that caused you to
sin against God before
you repented of your
sins and accepted
Jesus Christ as your
personal Saviour.

Romans 12:2
And be not conformed
to this world: but be ye
transformed by the
renewing of your mind,
that ye may prove what
is that good, and
acceptable, and
perfect, will of God.

2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore if any man be
in Christ, he is a new
creature: old things are
passed away; behold,
all things are become
new.

But, do not neglect
studying the Old
Testament. It is very
important because
it shows us just how
very loving, merciful,
and patient God is
towards us humans,
his creations, by how
he treated the
Israelites (Jews), his
chosen people to whom
he used to share with
the world that he is the
the only living God (in
heaven)!

The Old Testament is
exciting because it shows
us prophecies God
gave to his prophets in
order to tell people
about the future
Messiah (Anointed
One/Saviour) who
would one day die as
the Lamb of God to take
away the sins of the
whole world forever,
and rise from the dead!

The Old Testament also
shows us yet-to-be-fulfilled
prophecies when God will
judge the world for their
rejection of His Sinless
Son, the Lord Jesus
Christ, who died for
the sins of everyone
in the world! Seeing
how Old Testament
prophecies about Jesus
Christ's life, death, and
resurrection came
true literally in the
New Testament
will strengthen your
faith in God and
the fact that He
knows everything -
past, present, and
future!

Also in the Old Testament
you will see how God
keeps his word. When he
promises something he
always does what he says
he will do! That is a
comfort to know our
God is so faithful, and
someone we can
completely trust.

Another important help to
your growth as a Christian
is to attend a church each
Sunday to worship and
praise God. A church
that teaches from the KJB
only and preaches that
salvation is through faith
in the Lord Jesus Christ
alone without doing good
works. In attending a good
Bible believing church in
order to learn the Bible,
God's Love Letter and
Guide Book to teach us
how to live lives to glorify
God. In attending church
with other believers you will
encourage one another
(as we live in this fallen
world). And in attending
church to serve God.
And if that church does
not preach Jesus
Christ is the only way to
heaven and does not preach
from the God's Holy Word,
the King James Bible,
then LEAVE, and find a
church that does. You
can find King James Bible
churches by searching
for them on the internet.
Here is a link to one of
the sites where you
can search for a KJV
church. I do not know
how up-to-date the
information is so I
would call the church
before you attend to
make sure it is still a
KJV only church.

Pray to God daily. Just talk
to him like you would to
any good friend. Tell him
about your needs and the
needs of your friends and
loved ones. Ask him to
forgive you of any sins
you have committed that
day. Ask him for help
with your problems and
to take over any
situations that you
cannot handle yourself.
Thank him for the
blessings he has given
you that day. But, most
of all, be still and listen
for him to speak to your
heart about what He
wants you to do that
day. And give God your
undivided attention -
meaning God gave
you the gift of
salvation so you
would not have to
spend eternity in
hellfire. We should
love him enough to give
him some time alone with
us without you being
distracted by emails,
texts, the internet,
your music, the TV,
or other people.
Don't you think we
can at least
show God how
much we love him
by giving him as
much courtesy as
we would to our
friends and loved
ones?

Get baptized.
Baptism is a public
testimony / witness
to other people that
you have accepted
Jesus Christ as
your personal
Saviour and how
he has changed
your life. Jesus
was baptized as
an example to us,
his followers, so
we would do the
same in obedience
to God. BUT BE
AWARE THAT
BAPTISM DOES
NOT SAVE
YOU FROM
YOUR SINS,
AND WILL
NOT GET
YOU INTO
HEAVEN!
JESUS
CHRIST'S
DEATH AND
RESURRECTION
PAID YOUR
SIN-DEBT IN
FULL AND
THERE IS NOT
ANYTHING YOU
CAN DO TO EARN
YOUR SALVATION
(including baptism).
IF YOU COULD
EARN YOUR WAY
TO HEAVEN, THEN
JESUS CHRIST WOULD
NOT HAVE HAD
TO SHED HIS
SINLESS BLOOD
TO PAY FOR
OUR SINS!

Getting baptized
also witnesses to
others that they, too,
can have peace with
God when they accept
Jesus Christ as their
personal Saviour when
they see the changes
that have taken place
in you since you
accepted Jesus Christ
as your Saviour and
as the Lord of your
life.

Romans 5:1
Therefore being
justified by faith, we
have peace with God
through our Lord
Jesus Christ:

Link here to my
Bible study called
'Can Baptism Save
Me From My Sins?

And last, but not least,
share your faith with
others. Tell them what
Jesus Christ has done
to change your life and
make you a better person
from the inside out who
is at peace with God.
Jesus told his disciples
(that includes us) to
spread the good
news of His gospel
of salvation by faith
in His death and
resurrection to
everyone we can.
I have heard it said
that that is the job
of the preachers.
But Jesus Christ's
command for us to
"preach" means for
us to share the good
news of salvation
through Him so they
do not go to hell!
But many people
will never set
foot in a church,
but are longing
to know how
to get to heaven
and avoid hell!

Mark 16:15
And he [Jesus] said unto
them, Go ye into all the
world, and preach the
gospel to every creature.

Matthew 10:32 [Jesus:]
Whosoever therefore
shall confess me before
men, him will I confess
also before my Father
which is in heaven.

And in case someone
you know has not
yet been saved
from their sins and
want to go to heaven
when they die, the
Bible tells us how
to do that.

How Can I Get To Heaven?

How can you be
saved from your sins
and know that you will
go to heaven when
you die? God's Holy
Word, the King James
Bible, tells us how:

Agree with God in
heaven that you are
sinner and need
Saviour. GOD SAYS
WE ARE ALL
SINNERS. But keep
reading because
there is Good News
for you:

Romans 3:23
For all have sinned,
and come short of the
glory of God;

Believe that Jesus
Christ, the Sinless Son
of God, shed his blood
on the cross to pay
for your sins (and
mine). Three days later
He rose from the dead.

Romans 5:8
But God commendeth
his love toward us, in
that, while we were
yet sinners, Christ
died for us.

Repent of trusting in
anything or anyone
other than Jesus
Christ (i.e. baptism,
good works, money/tithes,
man-made church rules
or traditions, or religious
ceremonies) to save you.

Titus 3:5
Not by works of
righteousness which we
have done, but according
to his mercy he saved us,
by the washing of
regeneration, and
renewing of the Holy
Ghost;

Jesus said that we do
not get to heaven by our
good works (stuff we
have done). See verses
7:22 and 7:23 below!

Matthew
7:21 Not every one that
saith unto me, Lord,
Lord, shall enter into
the kingdom of heaven;
but he that doeth the
will of my Father which
is in heaven.

7:22 Many will say to
me in that day, Lord,
Lord, have we not
prophesied in thy
name? and in thy
name have cast
out devils? and in
thy name done
many wonderful
works?

7:23 And then will I
profess unto them,
I never knew you:
depart from me, ye
that work iniquity.

Accept God's Free
Gift of eternal life
through his Sinless
Son, the Lord Jesus
Christ. It is a free gift
to you, but it cost Jesus
Christ his life! You do
not have to work to
earn a Gift - It is free!

Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is
death; but the gift of
God is eternal life
through Jesus Christ
our Lord.

God tells us that as
many as received
Jesus Christ as their
Saviour and believed
on his name (trusted
him as Saviour), he
gave them power to
become the sons
(and daughters) of
God the Father in
heaven!

John 1:12
But as many as received
him [trusted Jesus], to
them gave he power to
become the sons of God,
even to them that
believe on his name.

So, if you confessed to
God in heaven that you
are a sinner in need of
a Saviour, and you
believe that Jesus Christ
died for your sins and
that God raised him
from the dead, then
you shall be saved.

Romans 10:9
That if thou shalt confess
with thy mouth the Lord
Jesus, and shalt believe
in thine heart that God
hath raised him from
the dead, thou shalt
be saved.

And when you die, you
will go straight to heaven
to be with Jesus Christ
forever and ever! The
following Bible verse
is one of my favorites.
It gave me comfort when
I went through double
breast cancer surgery
for I knew that if I died
on the operating table
I would immediately be
in heaven with Jesus!
Knowing that is why I
no longer fear what
comes after death.
What freedom there is
in knowing that.

2 Corinthians 5:8
We are confident, I say,
and willing rather to be
absent from the body,
and to be present with
the Lord.

One note to all dear
Catholics: The Catholic
church says that it is
wrong to believe that
you can know you are
saved before you die.
Please think about
this: God is a God of
love. After all he sent
his Son to die for your
sins so you could be
with him in heaven for
eternity! That is love!
Why would a God of love
want you to worry all of
your life whether you will
go to heaven or hell when
you die? God in heaven
wants us to have peace
and joy in this life as we
live for him and draw
others to him as their
Saviour. Only a cruel
God would want us
worried and stressed
about what comes after
death. But GOD LOVES
YOU and wants you to
have peace knowing that
you are saved now and
can know now that you
are going to heaven when
you die! Please trust your
loving heavenly Father's
Holy Word (the King James
Bible) when God tells you
that you will be with Him
after death if you trusted
Jesus Christ as your
Saviour!

And now that you have
become a Christian, it
is important to learn how
to live a life that glorifies
God in heaven who gave
you the Gift of salvation.
