Who Is In Charge Of Your Life - You Or God?

A military commander can
only be victorious in battle
if he or she has contact
with their troops in order
to give them their
marching orders. In
the same way, if we
Christians are not in
contact with God
through his marching
orders (his Holy
Bible, the KJB,
and through
prayers to him),
then how are we
supposed to know
what we are to do
next? God gave us
his Word to guide
us through our lives.
And we need to
know what God
says in order to
know how we
should live to
carry out his
plan for our lives,
and to bring glory
to God the Father
in heaven!

Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the thoughts
that I think toward you,
saith the LORD,
thoughts of peace,
and not of evil, to
give you an expected
end.

God knew us before
we were born, and he
has a plan for our
lives. In these next
Bible verses we see
that the God told
Jeremiah that He
had ordained him
to be a prophet
before Jeremiah
was even born! That
means that God had
a plan for each of us
before we were ever
born for what he
wants us to do with
our lives for him!
How awesome is
that!

Jeremiah
1:4 Then the word of
the LORD came unto
me, saying,

1:5 Before I formed
thee in the belly I
knew thee; and before
thou camest forth out
of the womb I
sanctified thee, and
I ordained thee a
prophet unto the
nations.

We Christians are in a
spiritual battle because
Satan wants to 'devour'
us, meaning that he
likes to tempt us to
disobey God (sin), to
doubt God's Word (the
KJB), and to disregard
God when we plan our
lives.

1 Peter 5:8
Be sober, be vigilant;
because your adversary
the devil, as a roaring
lion, walketh about,
seeking whom he may
devour:

Satan loves it when we
give God an hour or so
on Sunday, and then
disregard Him the rest
of the week!

Also Satan loves it when
we disobey God's
direction which we
receive from studying
the Bible and by
prayer. When we
sin, we bring
shame on the
name of Christ
who died to save us
from our sins and
rose from the grave
to show us he is God!

The unsaved world
watches Christians to
see if we live any
differently than those
who have not committed
their lives to Jesus
Christ. When they catch
us sinning, or even
appearing to sin, then
they can bash Jesus or
God because of it. Our
sin makes people turn
away from trusting
Jesus as their Saviour
when we act just like
the rest of the world
who disregard God
and Jesus Christ as
irrelevant in their lives.

Jesus Christ, the
sinless Son of God,
was sacrificed for you.
He left the glories of
heaven to come to
earth and live about
33 years among us
sinners. He came
even though he knew
that he would be
tortured, mocked,
and then nailed to a
cross to take away
our sins so we don't
have to spend
eternity in hell.

God the Father in
heaven graciously
accepted the shed
blood of Sinless
Jesus in our place
to pay for our sins.

How could we ever
want to ignore or
shame our loving
Saviour, Jesus
Christ, who willingly
gave up his life for
us and took our sins
upon himself even
though he was
innocent?

John  [Jesus said:]
10:15 As the Father
knoweth me, even so
know I the Father:
and I lay down my
life for the sheep.

10:17 Therefore doth
my Father love me,
because I lay down
my life, that I might
take it again.

10:18 No man taketh
it from me, but I lay
it down of myself. I
have power to lay
it down, and I have
power to take it
again. This
commandment have
I received of my Father.

Satan also does not
want us Studying God's
Word, the King James
Bible, to learn how to
live godly lives so we
can witness to
unbelievers how to
have faith in Jesus
Christ as their Saviour
so they can spend
eternal life in heaven,
avoid hell, and give
them peace and joy
because they no longer
need to be afraid of
what comes after death.

2 Timothy 2:15
Study to shew thyself
approved unto God, a
workman that needeth
not to be ashamed,
rightly dividing the word
of truth.

Ephesians
2:8 For by grace are
ye saved through faith;
and that not of
yourselves: it is the
gift of God:

2:9 Not of works
lest any man should
boast.

When Paul wrote these
next verses he was in
prison and he was
constantly guarded. I
believe he used the
guard's armor as an
analogy for us about
God's protection to
keep us from sinning.

God has provided us
with 'armor' and that is
how we can protect
ourselves against
Satan and his devils
who tempt us to sin
and try to get us to
ignore promptings
from the Holy Spirit
(Who is inside every
believer) who pricks
our consciences to
help keep us from
sinning. I have put
in bold the parts of
this armor that will
protect us.

Ephesians
6:11 Put on the whole
armour of God, that ye
may be able to stand
against the wiles of the devil.

6:12 For we wrestle not
against flesh and blood,
but against principalities,
against powers, against
the rulers of the
darkness of this world,
against spiritual
wickedness in high
places.

6:13 Wherefore take
unto you the whole
armour of God, that ye
may be able to
withstand in the evil
day, and having done
all, to stand.

6:14 Stand therefore,
having your loins girt
[surrounded] about
with truth, and having
on the breastplate of
righteousness

6:15 And your feet shod
with the preparation of
the gospel of peace;

6:16 Above all, taking
the shield of faith
wherewith ye shall be
able to quench all the
fiery darts of the wicked.

6:17 And take the
helmet of salvation
and the sword of the
Spirit, which is the
word of God:

And now, if any of you
dear readers do not
know how to be saved
from your sins and go
to heaven when you
die, here is how:

God's Holy Word, the
King James Bible,
tells us how:

Agree with God in
heaven that you are
sinner and need
Saviour. GOD SAYS
WE ARE ALL
SINNERS. But keep
reading because
there is Good News
for you:

Romans 3:23
For all have sinned,
and come short of the
glory of God;

Believe that Jesus
Christ, the Sinless Son
of God, shed his blood
on the cross to pay
for your sins (and
mine). Three days later
He rose from the dead.

Romans 5:8
But God commendeth
his love toward us, in
that, while we were
yet sinners, Christ
died for us.

Repent of trusting in
anything or anyone
other than Jesus
Christ (i.e. baptism,
good works, money/tithes
man-made church rules
or traditions, or religious
ceremonies) to save you.

Titus 3:5
Not by works of
righteousness which we
have done, but according
to his mercy he saved us,
by the washing of
regeneration, and
renewing of the Holy
Ghost;

Jesus said that we do
not get to heaven by our
good works (stuff we
have done). See verses
7:22 and 7:23 below!

Matthew
7:21 Not every one that
saith unto me, Lord,
Lord, shall enter into
the kingdom of heaven;
but he that doeth the
will of my Father which
is in heaven.

7:22 Many will say to
me in that day, Lord,
Lord, have we not
prophesied in thy
name? and in thy
name have cast
out devils? and in
thy name done
many wonderful
works?

7:23 And then will I
profess unto them,
I never knew you:
depart from me, ye
that work iniquity.

Accept God's Free
Gift of eternal life
through his Sinless
Son, the Lord Jesus
Christ. It is a free gift
to you, but it cost Jesus
Christ his life! You do
not have to work to
earn a Gift - It is free!

Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is
death; but the gift of
God is eternal life
through Jesus Christ
our Lord.

God tells us that as
many as received
Jesus Christ as their
Saviour and believed
on his name (trusted
him as Saviour), he
gave them power to
become the sons
(and daughters) of
God the Father in
heaven!

John 1:12
But as many as received
him [trusted Jesus], to
them gave he power to
become the sons of God,
even to them that
believe on his name.

So, if you confessed to
God in heaven that you
are a sinner in need of
a Saviour, and you
believe that Jesus Christ
died for your sins and
that God raised him
from the dead, then
you shall be saved.

Romans 10:9
That if thou shalt confess
with thy mouth the Lord
Jesus, and shalt believe
in thine heart that God
hath raised him from
the dead, thou shalt
be saved.

And when you die, you
will go straight to heaven
to be with Jesus Christ
forever and ever! The
following Bible verse
is one of my favorites.
It gave me comfort when
I went through double
breast cancer surgery
for I knew that if I died
on the operating table
I would immediately be
in heaven with Jesus!
Knowing that is why I
no longer fear what
comes after death.
What freedom there is
in knowing that.

2 Corinthians 5:8
We are confident, I say,
and willing rather to be
absent from the body,
and to be present with
the Lord.

One note to all dear
Catholics: The Catholic
church says that it is
wrong to believe that
you can know you are
saved before you die.
Please think about
this: God is a God of
love. After all he sent
his Son to die for your
sins so you could be
with him in heaven for
eternity! That is love!
Why would a God of love
want you to worry all of
your life whether you will
go to heaven or hell when
you die? God in heaven
wants us to have peace
and joy in this life as we
live for him and draw
others to him as their
Saviour. Only a cruel
God would want us
worried and stressed
about what comes after
death. But GOD LOVES
YOU and wants you to
have peace knowing that
you are saved now and
can know now that you
are going to heaven when
you die! Please trust your
loving heavenly Father's
Holy Word (the King James
Bible) when God tells you
that you will be with Him
after death if you trusted
Jesus Christ as your
Saviour!

And now that you have
become a Christian, it
is important to learn how
to live a life that glorifies
God in heaven who gave
you the Gift of salvation.
