Are You Afraid?

Jesus Christ said that
God the Father in
heaven watches for
and cares for even the
smallest sparrow, but
that you are of more
value to Him than
many sparrows! So,
you know that God
the Father in heaven
is watching out for you.
Trust him, pray to him,
and ask for his
protection and
care. Jesus Christ also
told us that God knows
us so personally that
He knows the very
number of hairs on
our head! That is
how much He knows
you personally,
and cares for you.

Words of Jesus
Christ are in red.

Words in BOLD are
for emphasis.

Luke
12:4 And I say unto you
my friends, Be not afraid
of them that kill the body,
and after that have no
more that they can do.

12:5 But I will forewarn
you whom ye shall fear:
Fear him, which after he
hath killed hath power to
cast into hell; yea, I say
unto you, Fear him.

12:6 Are not five
sparrows sold for two
farthings, and not
one of them is
forgotten before God?

12:7 But even the very
hairs of your head are
all numbered. Fear
not therefore: ye are
of more value than
many sparrows.

Please keep reading
for more help when
you are afraid.

Worried about making
ends meet...about being
able to afford food and
clothing? Jesus Christ
has the answer to those
worries.

I used to worry a lot.
But I have learned that
worrying does not
solve your problem
or take away your
fear. All it does is
stress you out.

We need to trust God
and take all our cares
to Him when we have
problems we cannot
solve or fears we
cannot shake.

1 Peter 5:7
Casting all your care
upon him; for he
careth for you.

With God nothing is
impossible. And he
is on our side.

Luke 1:37
For with God nothing
shall be impossible.

God is all powerful.
And He is on our
side.

1 Chronicles 29:11
Thine, O LORD, is the
greatness, and the power,
and the glory, and the
victory, and the majesty:
for all that is in the
heaven and in the
earth is thine; thine
is the kingdom, O
LORD, and thou art
exalted as head
above all.

He knows the future,
and He wants what
is best for us.

1 John 3:20
For if our heart condemn
us, God is greater than
our heart, and knoweth
all things.

If we go to Him with
our fears and cares He
will comfort you and
help you. He loved
you enough to suffer
and die for you - for
your sins and mine -
so you know He loves
you dearly. Trust Him.
He has big shoulders
to cry on!

Luke
12:22 And he said unto his
disciples, Therefore I say
unto you, Take no thought
for your life, what ye shall
eat; neither for the body,
what ye shall put on.

12:23 The life is more
than meat, and the body
is more than raiment
[clothing]

12:24 Consider the
ravens: for they neither
sow nor reap; which
neither have storehouse
nor barn; and God
feedeth them: how
much more are ye
better than the fowls?

12:25 And which of you
with taking thought
[worrying] can add to
his stature [your height]
one cubit?

12:26 If ye then be not able
to do that thing which is
least, why take ye thought
for the rest?

12:27 Consider the lilies
how they grow: they toil
not, they spin not; and
yet I say unto you, that
[King] Solomon in all
his glory was not
arrayed [dressed]
like one of these.

12:28 If then God so
clothe the grass, which
is to day in the field,
and to morrow is cast
into the oven; how much
more will he clothe you,
O ye of little faith?

12:29 And seek not ye
what ye shall eat, or what
ye shall drink, neither be
ye of doubtful mind.

12:30 For all these things
do the nations of the world
seek after: and your
Father knoweth that ye
have need of these
things.

12:31 But rather seek ye
the kingdom of God; and
all these things shall be
added unto you.

12:32 Fear not, little flock;
for it is your Father's
good pleasure to give
you the kingdom.

1 Peter
3:14 But and if ye suffer
for righteousness' sake,
happy are ye: and be not
afraid of their terror,
neither be troubled;

3:15 But sanctify the Lord
God in your hearts: and
be ready always to give
an answer to every man
that asketh you a reason
of the hope that is in
you with meekness
and fear:

3:16 Having a good
conscience; that,
whereas they speak
evil of you, as of
evildoers, they may be
ashamed that falsely
accuse your good
conversation in Christ.

3:17 For it is better, if
the will of God be so
that ye suffer for well
doing, than for evil
doing.

3:18 For Christ also hath
once suffered for sins,
the just for the unjust,
that he might bring us to
God, being put to death
in the flesh, but quickened
[made alive] by the [Holy]
Spirit:

Revelation
1:17 And when I [John]
saw him, I fell at his feet
as dead. And he [Jesus
Christ] laid his right hand
upon me, saying unto me,
Fear notI am the first
and the last:

1:18 I am he that liveth,
and was dead; and, behold,
am alive for evermore,
Amen; and have the keys
of hell and of death.

Afraid you will lose your
salvation if you sin after
you were saved?

Jesus Christ said that
none of those who have
trusted in Him who died for
our sins and rose from the
dead will also be raised
up (translated if we are
alive or resurrected if we
are dead) to be with him
on the last day, and that
you will have
everlasting life! He
also said he will
"lose nothing", meaning
he will lose none of
those who have believed in
him! That means that once
you have trusted that Jesus
Christ shed His sinless
blood to pay for your sins
(and mine) that you
cannot be lost! Eternal
salvation is FOREVER!
But, keep reading for a
solution to the sin
problem after you have
been saved. Also, if you
think you can lose your
salvation after you were
saved, then you are
doubting that Jesus
Christ's sinless blood
could pay for all of your
sins (past, present and
future) once and for all
time! That is unbiblical.
When Jesus Christ died
on the cross, one of the
last things He said
was, "It is finished"
meaning that He had
finished what God sent
Him to do - pay for the
salvation of the sins of
the whole world once
and for all time! In the
Old Testament times
innocent spotless
animals were sacrificed
to shed their blood as a
temporary covering of
sin - but it had to be
done every day. When
Jesus Christ, the Son
of God, shed His sinless
blood on the cross, His
blood was the one time
payment for all time
for the sins of the world!
God says He (Jesus Christ)
obtained (present tense)
eternal redemption for
our sins!

Hebrews 9:12
Neither by the blood of
goats and calves, but by
his own blood he [Jesus
Christ] entered in once
into the holy place,
having obtained eternal
redemption for us.

John
6:39 And this is the
Father's will which hath
sent me, that of all
which he hath given
me I should lose nothing
but should raise it up again
at the last day.

6:40 And this is the
will of him that sent
me, that every one
which seeth the Son,
and believeth on him,
may have everlasting
life: and I will raise
him up at the last
day.

God knew that we
Christians will still sin
after we accept Jesus
Christ as our personal
Saviour because we
inherited Adam's sin
nature; but God is
merciful, and made
way for us to restore our
relationship with  him
when we sin after
salvation. This is an
awesome promise from
our very loving and
very merciful Father
God in heaven!

1 John 1:9
If we confess
our sins, he [God
in heaven] is
faithful and just to
forgive us our sins,
and to cleanse us
from all
unrighteousness.

God bless you; and
have a great day! I
hope this Bible study
has been helpful to
you.
