1 Corinthians 14:33
For God is not the
author of confusion,
but of peace,...
Words of Jesus Christ
are in red.
John 10:10
The thief [Satan] cometh
not, but for to steal, and
to kill, and to destroy: I am
come that they might have
life, and that they might
have it more abundantly.
1 Peter 5:8
Be sober, be vigilant;
because your adversary
the devil, as a roaring
lion, walketh about,
seeking whom he
may devour:
John 8:44
Ye are of your father the
devil, and the lusts of your
father ye will do. He was
a murderer from the
beginning, and abode not
in the truth, because there
is no truth in him. When he
speaketh a lie, he speaketh
of his own: for he is a liar,
and the father of it.
That's the bad news. But
please keep reading for
the good news of how to
find comfort during these
troubled times we live in.
John 16:33
These things I have
spoken unto you, that in
me ye might have peace.
In the world ye shall
have tribulation: but be
of good cheer; I have
overcome the world.
Receive comfort from
"the God of all Comfort",
and share that comfort
with others.
2 Corinthians
1:3 Blessed be God,
even the Father of our
Lord Jesus Christ, the
Father of mercies, and
the God of all comfort;
1:4 Who comforteth us
in all our tribulation, that
we may be able to
comfort them which are
in any trouble, by the
comfort wherewith we
ourselves are
comforted of God.
Mourn with those who
are mourning.
Romans 12:15
Rejoice with them that do
rejoice, and weep with
them that weep.
Jesus said to fear
(reverence) God and to
not fear what man can
do to us.
Matthew 10:28

And fear not them which
kill the body, but are not
able to kill the soul: but
rather fear him which is
able to destroy both soul
and body in hell.
Hebrews
13:5(b) for he [Jesus
Christ] hath said, I will
never leave thee, nor
forsake thee.
13:6 So that we may
boldly say, The Lord is
my helper, and I will not
fear what man shall do
unto me.
When afraid, be comforted
by the Comforter (the Holy
Ghost) who lives within
every believer. Jesus
Christ said:
John
14:25 These things have
I spoken unto you, being
yet present with you.
14:26 But the Comforter,
which is the Holy Ghost,
whom the Father will send
in my name, he shall teach
you all things, and bring
all things to your
remembrance,
whatsoever I have said
unto you.
14:27 Peace I leave
with you, my peace
I give unto you: not as
the world giveth, give
I unto you. Let not
your heart be troubled,
neither let it be afraid.
We can be sure that
God is with us even when
we are going through life
threatening situations.
When Stephen was being
stoned to death, here is
what he said:
Acts
7:55 But he [Stephen],
being full of the Holy
Ghost, looked up
stedfastly into heaven,
and saw the glory of God,
and Jesus standing on
the right hand of God,
7:56 And said, Behold,
I see the heavens
opened, and the Son
of man [Jesus Christ]
standing on the right
hand of God.
These next verses are
some of my favorites
because they encourage
me to know that no matter
what bad stuff we
encounter in our lives,
God has sent his angels
to watch over us.
Elisha and his servant
woke up and found
themselves surrounded
by an army; and the
servant panicked. But listen
to Elisha's prayer to God
to open the servant's eyes
so he could see that
those who are living for
God are protected by
God's army (of angels)!
No matter what, we will
not die until God's
purpose for our lives
on this earth is
completed.
2 Kings
6:15 And when the servant
of the man of God [Elisha]
was risen early, and gone
forth, behold, an host
compassed the city both
with horses and chariots.
And his servant said unto
him, Alas, my master!
how shall we do?
6:16 And he answered,
Fear not: for they that
be with us are more
than they that be with
them.
6:17 And Elisha prayed,
and said, LORD, I pray
thee, open his eyes,
that he may see. And
the LORD opened the
eyes of the young man;
and he saw: and, behold,
the mountain was full of
horses and chariots of
fire round about Elisha.
Comfort yourself that
God is always with us
to protect us!
