Isaiah prophesied
about the future
birth of Jesus Christ,
the Son of God, who
would be 'the Prince
of Peace', and the
Saviour of the world.
Verses following this
one shows how often
Jesus Christ offered
peace to those people
who put their trust in
him. These are
comforting verses
for believers because
it shows us that God
(Jesus Christ) is not
the author of the
recent chaos that
has been happening
in our streets.
Isaiah 9:6
For unto us a child is
born, unto us a son
is given: and the
government shall
be upon his shoulder:
and his name shall
be called Wonderful,
Counsellor, The
mighty God, The
everlasting Father,
The Prince of
Peace [Jesus Christ].

Peace I leave with
you, my peace I
give unto you: not

give I unto you. Let
not your heart be
troubled, neither let it
be afraid.

These things I have
spoken unto you, that
in me ye might have
peace. In the world ye
shall have tribulation: but
be of good cheer; I have
overcome the world.
