Will I Lose My Salvation If I Sin?

I hope that you will read all
of this Bible study to see
the complete picture of
this controversial subject.

I trust God's Preserved
Word, the King James
Bible. God's Word is
our Guidebook for
living a life that brings
glory to God. According
to the Holy Bible, we
are saved by faith in
Jesus Christ once
forever IF we have
trusted Him ALONE
(without your good
works/deeds, your
tithes, your religious
ceremonies, your
baptism, etc.) for
our salvation, and
that we do not need to
be re-saved every time
we sin. Listen to what
God has to say about
this subject...

Words in Scripture verses
in bold are for emphasis.

Words in red are those of
the Lord Jesus Christ.

Hebrews 10:10
By the which will we are
sanctified through the
offering of the body of
Jesus Christ once
for all.

Ask yourself, “Would Jesus
Christ take back His gift of
salvation once He gave it
to you?” There are no Bible
verses to back up that
belief! That is one of
Satan’s lies to make
Christians doubt their
salvation, lose their
joy, and quit sharing
the gospel with others
so others may get saved
and go to heaven, too.
If you could lose your
salvation every time you
sinned, it would also
mean that Jesus Christ's
blood sacrifice on the
cross and His
resurrection from the
dead were not good
enough to save you
forever! The Bible tells
us differently.

Eternal life or everlasting
life means once you have
it, you have it forever!
Here are just a few of the
many verses that tell us
that when we believe
Jesus Christ died in our
place for our sins and
rose from the dead, we
have eternal life!

John 3:16
For God so loved the
world, that he gave
his only begotten Son
[Jesus Christ], that
whosoever believeth
in him should not perish,
but have everlasting life.

Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is
death; but the gift of God
is eternal life through
Jesus Christ our Lord.

1 John
5:11 And this is the record,
that God hath given to us
eternal life, and this life is
in his Son [Jesus Christ].

5:12 He that hath the Son
hath life; and he that hath
not the Son of God hath
not life.

5:13 These things have I
written unto you that
believe on the name of
the Son of God; that ye
may know that ye have
eternal life, and that ye
may believe on the name
of the Son of God.

That being said, being saved
does not make us perfect!
No one is perfect except
Jesus Christ! We will sin
again after being saved at
least until we are raised up
to heaven; but IF we are
truly saved through the Lord
Jesus Christ ALONE without
baptism or good works, then
we should no longer desire
to sin and are grieved when
we sin. Our desire is to live in
obedience to God’s Holy
Word, the King James
Bible.

But when we do sin after
we have been saved, then
we are to repent of our sin
(be truly sorry for that sin
and desire not to commit
that sin again), confess our
sin to God the Father in
heaven, and He will
forgive our sins based on
our Saviour's (Jesus
Christ's) intercession
on our behalf.

Romans 8:34
Who is he that condemneth?
It is Christ that died, yea
rather, that is risen again,
who is even at the right
hand of God, who also
maketh intercession for us.

I read somewhere that if we
think of our relationship with
God the Father as we would
of our relationship with an
earthly father-child
relationship it becomes
clear. When a child does
something wrong, the
father doesn't disown his
child; just as God the
Father in heaven will not
take away your inheritance
of eternal life that you
received when you
accepted Jesus Christ
as your personal Saviour.
But because of the sin
you committed, the
relationship with the
father is broken and needs
to be restored. But once
the child confesses his
sin to his father and asks
forgiveness, then the
child is brought back into
fellowship with his earthly
father who loves his child.
It's the same way with
God the Father in heaven.
If we confess our sins to
Him, He is faithful and just
to forgive us of our sins.
And remember, even if
your earthly father was not
a loving person, God the
Father in Heaven is! After
all, he loved you enough
to sacrifice his only begotten
Son, Jesus Christ, so you
could spend eternity in
heaven with Him! You
cannot get more loving
than that!

1 John 1:9
If we confess our sins,
he [God the Father in
heaven] is faithful and
just to forgive us our sins,
and to cleanse us from
all unrighteousness.

I repeat: If we could
lose our salvation
every time we sinned after
we were saved, then that
would mean that Jesus
Christ's blood sacrifice
was NOT GOOD
ENOUGH to cover our
sins once and forever!
But the following Bible
verses tell us that our
salvation IS forever –
meaning that once we
received God’s gift of
salvation, it is ours for
eternity! How
comforting that is!

1 Peter 3:18
For Christ also hath
once suffered for sins,
the just for the unjust,
that he might bring us to
God, being put to death
in the flesh, but
quickened by the Spirit:

Hebrews
10:10 By the which will we
are sanctified through
the offering of the body
of Jesus Christ once for
all.

10:11 And every priest
standeth daily ministering
and offering oftentimes the
same sacrifices, which can
never take away sins:

10:12 But this man [Jesus
Christ], after he had
offered one sacrifice for
sins for ever, sat down
on the right hand of God;

10:13 From henceforth
expecting till his enemies be
made his footstool.

10:14 For by one offering
he hath perfected for ever
them that are sanctified.

Jesus said that once He
gives us eternal life, we
shall never perish! What
awesome news that is!

John 10:28
And I give unto them
eternal life; and they
shall never perish,
neither shall any man
pluck them out of my
hand.

If we could lose our salvation
every single time we sinned
after we are saved; then we
would have to be re-saved
over and over again every
single day of our lives
when we sinned! There
are no Scriptures that
support that idea! God
wanted us to KNOW that
we had eternal life, as
shown in these next Bible
verses! Eternal means
forever!!

1 John
5:11 And this is the record,
that God hath given to us
eternal life, and this life
is in his Son.

5:12 He that hath the Son
hath life; and he that hath
not the Son of God hath
not life.

5:13 These things have I
written unto you that
believe on the name of the
Son of God; that ye
may know that ye have
eternal life, and that ye
may believe on the name
of the Son of God.

If you are feeling
condemned and guilt-ridden
that is a lie from Satan. If
you truly trusted Jesus
Christ's death and
resurrection for your sins
ALONE for your salvation
and NOTHING ELSE
(not baptism, not religious
ceremonies, not church
traditions, not good works,
not money (tithes), nothing
else but faith in HIS
WORK ON THE CROSS
DYING FOR OUR SINS
AND RISING FROM THE
GRAVE, then you are
saved forever!

Listen to what Jesus told us,
and then if you trust Him,
then Believe Him that your
salvation is FOREVER! It
is so comforting to hear
our Saviour tell us for
sure that our salvation is
secure forever! I repeat this
verse because to me it is
so wonderful to know that
the Lord Jesus Christ
confirms that once He
gives someone eternal life
they shall never perish!

John 10:28

And I give unto them
eternal life; and they
shall never perish, neither
shall any man pluck them
out of my hand.

If you are feeling
condemned or guilty,
that is not from God
but from Satan, because
Jesus Christ told us:

John
3:17 For God sent not his
Son into the world to
condemn the world; but
that the world through
him might be saved.

3:18 He that believeth
on him [Jesus Christ] is
not condemned: but he
that believeth not is
condemned already,
because he hath not
believed in the name of
the only begotten Son
of God.

Romans 8:1 (Paul said:)
There is therefore now
no condemnation to
them which are in Christ
Jesus, who walk not
after the flesh, but after
the [HOLY] Spirit.

Yes, we Christians still
have a sinful nature even
after we accept Jesus Christ
as Saviour, and we will
always have a sinful
nature until we are raised
to live in heaven with Jesus
Christ. But don't get
discouraged. If you sin,
ask God in heaven right
away for forgiveness, and
then be assured that you
are forgiven - because
God said so, and then
turn away from that sin!
With the help of the Holy
Spirit and memorized
Bible verses that
pertain to areas of my
weaknesses, those
verses help keep me
from giving in to that sin.

1 John 1:9
If we confess our sins [to
God in heaven], he is
faithful and just to forgive
us our sins, and to
cleanse us from all
unrighteousness.

And if we sin, we have an
advocate, a mediator, an
intercessor between us
and God - Jesus Christ
the righteous! Trust Him.
He died for your sins
(and mine). He loves you!

1 Timothy 2:5

For there is one God,
and one mediator
between God and men,
the man Christ Jesus;

Hebrews 7:25
Wherefore he [Jesus
Christ] is able also to
save them to the
uttermost that come
unto God by him,
seeing he ever liveth
to make intercession
for them.

1 John 2:1

My little children, these
things write I unto you,
that ye sin not. And if
any man sin, we have
an advocate with the
Father, Jesus Christ
the righteous:

No, God the Father in
heaven does not condone
our sin; but He is faithful
and just to forgive us our
sins when we confess
them to Him daily.
Confessing our sins to
God in heaven as soon
as we recognize that
we have sinned will
restore our fellowship
with Him. This is a
good verse to remember.
God wants us to go to
him when we fail him.
He loved us enough
to sacrifice his Son
for us so we could
spend eternity with
him. Trust Him. He
loves you and wants
your fellowship
restored with him.

1 John 1:9
If we confess our sins,
he is faithful and just
to forgive us our sins,
and to cleanse us from
all unrighteousness.

And here is a comforting
thought...that Jesus Christ
said He will lose none of
those who have been
given to him, meaning
those people who have
received Jesus Christ as
their personal Saviour.
And He says that He
will raise us up on the
last day! That means He
cannot lose us once He
has saved us! Yippee!

John 6:39 (Jesus said:)
And this is the Father's
will which hath sent me,
that of all which he hath
given me I should lose
nothing [no one], but
should raise it [us] up
again at the last day.
