Christianity versus Other Religions

True Christianity is

different from every

other religion in the

world because God’s

Holy Preserved

Word, the King

James Bible,

teaches us that we

can not do anything

to save ourselves

from hell! Why?

We will find the

answers to that

question as we go

through this Bible

study.

God tells us that we

do not get saved

by our works of

righteousness (i.e.,

good deeds,

religious

ceremonies i.e.

baptism, prayers,

tithes, etc.), but we

are saved by God's

grace (His

un-earned favor

toward us

through faith

in His Sinless

Son's (Jesus

Christ's) death

and

resurrection for

our sins).

BOLD IN BIBLE VERSES

IS FOR EMPHASIS.

WORDS OF JESUS

CHRIST ARE IN RED.

Ephesians

2:8 For by grace are

ye saved through faith;

and that not of

yourselves: it is the

gift of God:

2:9 Not of works,

lest any man

should boast.

All other world religions

believe that you have

to do good stuff to

work your way to

heaven or whatever

they consider heaven.

Some religions seek to

make points with

God by requiring

attendance at a church, a

mosque, a temple, etc. a

certain amount

of times per week

without fail. Other

religions require that

you go through

religious

ceremonies to

earn points with God.

Other religions

require you to pray

a certain number

of times each day.

Other religions

require you to

strictly follow

man-made

church traditions

or rules. Other

religions require

you to pay money

to earn your way into

heaven. All of

these different

ways of trying

to earn their

salvation are

a slap in God's

face showing

that you trust in

yourself or your

church to save you

from your sins

instead of trusting

in God's Sinless

Son, Jesus Christ,

who was tortured

and died to pay

for your sins and

mine, and then rose

from the dead. The last

thing Jesus Christ

said as He died on the

cross was, "It

is finished."

That meant that

He had paid God

the Father in heaven

IN FULL for OUR

SINS, AND THAT

HIS SINLESS

BLOOD PAID

FOR ALL OUR

SINS FOREVER!

If you think you have

to add your 'good works'

to Jesus Christ's blood

sacrifice on the cross,

then He died for no

reason. It also means

that you are discounting

God's Gift of salvation

through His Son, and

that you think God

needs your help to

save you! That is not only

arrogant, but

also blasphemous!

Also, because other

religions require YOU

to DO STUFF to earn

your way into heaven,

ask yourself these

questions:

"How many good

deeds must I do to

get into God's

HOLY HEAVEN?

Or how many

prayers must I

pray?

Or how

much money

must I give?

Or how many

religious ceremonies

must I attend?

Or how many

MAN-MADE

CHURCH

TRADITIONS

must I obey in order

to earn more

good points with

God than bad

points in order

to earn my way

into God's

holy heaven?

The people in

these religions

do not know the

answer to those

questions; and

so they HAVE

TO WORRY

THEIR WHOLE

LIVES ABOUT

WHAT WILL

HAPPEN TO

THEM WHEN

THEY DIE

BECAUSE

THEY DO

NOT KNOW IF

THEY DID

ENOUGH

TO EARN

THEIR WAY INTO

HEAVEN! HOW

SAD.

Unfortunately,

God's Holy Word,

the King James

Bible, says that

once we die, it

is too late to

get saved

because then

comes the

judgment.

Once we die

we face Jesus

Christ at THE

JUDGMENT!

BUT

PLEASE

KEEP

READING

BECAUSE

THERE IS GOOD

NEWS COMING.

Hebrews 9:27

And as it is appointed

unto men once to die,

but after this the

judgment.

Romans 14:10

But why dost thou

judge thy brother?

or why dost thou set

at nought [despise]

thy brother? for

we shall all stand

before the JUDGMENT

SEAT OF CHRIST.

Some religious

leaders believe

in physically

forcing people to

take their religion.

Other religious

leaders give advice

or say words of

man's wisdom to

accumulate followers.

But none of these

religious leaders

could offer payment

for your sins as Jesus

Christ, the Sinless

Son of God, did! And

all of the religious

leaders of these

other religions are

dead and in their

graves, whereas

Jesus Christ is

alive and sitting at

the right hand of

God Almighty in

heaven!

Jesus Christ, the

Sinless Son of God,

died on a cross to

pay for all of our sins.

But 3 days later God

raised Him from

the dead, and

Jesus was seen

by more than 500

people! He is now

alive and back in

heaven, not

hanging on a cross!

1 Corinthians 15:6 

After that, he was

seen of above five

hundred brethren

[followers] at once; of

whom the greater part

remain unto this

present [are alive], but

some are fallen asleep

[have died].

Now back to that

question I asked

you in the start of this

study.

Why can't we be

saved by our good

deeds or religious

ceremonies

or whatever?

The answer is

because our

relationship

with holy God

the Father in

heaven is

broken because

God says we are all

sinners, and because

holy God in heaven

cannot be in the

presence of

sinners.

Habakkuk 1:13(a)  

Thou [God] art of

purer eyes than

to behold evil, and

canst not look on

iniquity [sin]:

So that means that

none of us can ever

get to heaven

except GOD'S

WAY because

God says we are

all sinners!

But please keep

reading because

there is good

news coming!

Romans 5:12  

Wherefore, as by

one man [Adam

the first man]

sin entered

into the world,

and death by sin;

and so death

passed upon

all men, for

that all have

sinned:

But God loved us

so much that he

wanted to make a

way for us to be

saved from our sins

so we could spend

eternity with him.

So God sacrificed

his only begotten

Sinless Son, Jesus

Christ, to die on

the cross in our place

to pay for our sins.

And when God the

Father in heaven

raised Jesus

from the dead,

he showed us that

he had accepted

Jesus Christ's death

on the cross as full

payment for the

sins of everyone

in the whole world

forever!

1 John 4:10

Herein is love, not

that we loved God,

but that he loved

us, and sent his

Son [Jesus Christ]

to be the propitiation*

for our sins.

[*The definition

of propitiation

is payment in

full!]

John 3:16 

For God so loved

the world, that he

gave his only

begotten Son

[Jesus Christ], that

whosoever believeth

in him should not

perish, but have

everlasting life.

God says that "all our

righteousnesses"

(good deeds, prayers,

tithes or donations,

religious ceremonies,

religious activities,

man-made church

traditions, etc.) are as

filthy rags to him;

reminding us that

those activities cannot

save us from our sins

and get us into God's

holy heaven! We would

have to be perfect and

sinless to get into

heaven! Yikes!

That leaves me out!

But please keep reading

because the good news

is coming.

Isaiah 64:6

But we are all as an

unclean thing, and

all our

righteousnesses

are as filthy rags;

and we all do fade

as a leaf; and our

iniquities [sins],

like the wind, have

taken us away.

Salvation is a

free gift from God.

A gift is not

something

you pay for or

that you

have to work

for to earn it. A

gift is

something given

freely to us.

But a gift is

not ours

unless we

accept it by

faith that it is

a gift from

God!

We can only get to

heaven God's Way,

not our way! This is

what makes true

Christianity different

from every other

religion in the world!

We cannot save

ourselves! GOD

SAYS SO!

Romans 6:23  

For the wages

of sin is death;

but the gift of

God is eternal

life through

Jesus Christ our

Lord.

Think about it! If we

could earn our way

to heaven, then God

the Father in heaven

sacrificed his only

begotten Sinless

Son, Jesus Christ,

to die for no reason!

That would be a

cruel heavenly

Father! But God in

heaven is a loving

God who doesn’t

want us worrying

our whole lives

whether we will

make it into heaven

or not when we die.

This next verse

is one of my

favorites

because in it

God declares that

we can KNOW we

have eternal life

the minute we

repent of our sins

and trust Jesus Christ

shed his sinless blood

to pay our sin debt in

full and rose from the

dead. HOW AWESOME

IS THAT!

The Catholic Church

says that this is the

sin of 'presumption'

to believe you can

know you have

eternal life now.

That is not

presumption. That

is trusting that God,

our heavenly Father

wanted us to know

we have eternal life

now through faith in

His Sinless Son,

the Lord Jesus Christ,

and not have to

worry our whole

lives whether we

will make it into

heaven or not.

That is a promise

from our loving

heavenly Father!

And when you

know you have

eternal life now,

you will have hope

of heaven to come,

joy, and peace. And

I trust God's Holy

Word, the King

James Bible, more

than I do man-

made church

traditions

because God

cannot lie and

what He says

in His Word

is truth.

Titus 1:2 

In hope of

eternal life, which

God, that cannot

lie, promised before

the world

began;

There is such peace

and freedom from

the fear of what

comes after death

when you know

where you are going

when you die. Even

when I went

through double

breast cancer

surgery I was not

afraid to die because

I knew exactly

where I would

go if I had died -

into the presence of

Jesus Christ, my

loving Saviour! 

1 John 5:13  

These things have I

written unto you that

believe on the name

of the Son of God;

that ye may

know that ye

have eternal

life, and that

ye may believe

on the name

of the Son of

God.

2 Corinthians 5:8  

We are confident,

I say, and willing

rather to be

absent from the

body, and to be

present with the

Lord.

Now here is that

Good News of

how to get saved

from your sins go

to heaven when

you die. I hope to

see you there!

How Can I Get To Heaven?

How can I be saved 

from my sins and know

that I will go to heaven

when I die? God's Holy 

Word, the King James 

Bible, tells us how:

Agree with God in  

heaven that you are 

a sinner and need a 

Saviour. GOD SAYS 

WE ARE ALL 

SINNERS. But keep 

reading because 

there is Good News 

for you: 

Romans 3:23

For all have sinned, 

and come short of the

glory of God;

Be willing to turn from 

your sin (repent). 

Acts 17:30  

And the times of this 

ignorance God winked 

at; but now commandeth 

all men every where to 

repent: 

Believe that Jesus 

Christ, the Sinless Son 

of God, shed his blood

on the cross to pay 

for your sins and 

mine, was buried, 

and that three 

days later He rose 

from the dead. 

Romans 10:9  

That if thou shalt confess 

with thy mouth the Lord 

Jesus, and shalt believe 

in thine heart that God 

hath raised him from 

the dead, thou shalt 

be saved. 

Repent of trusting in 

anything or anyone 

other than Jesus

Christ (i.e. baptism, 

good works, idols,

false gods, $/tithes, 

man-made church 

rules or traditions,

or religious 

ceremonies) to 

save you.

Titus 3:5

Not by works of

righteousness which we 

have done, but according 

to his mercy he saved us, 

by the washing of 

regeneration, and 

renewing of the Holy 

Ghost;

Jesus said that we do 

not get to heaven by our

good works (stuff we

have done). See verses

7:22 and 7:23 below!

Matthew

7:21 Not every one that 

saith unto me, Lord, 

Lord, shall enter into 

the kingdom of heaven; 

but he that doeth the 

will of my Father which 

is in heaven. 

7:22 Many will say to 

me in that day, Lord, 

Lord, have we not 

prophesied in thy 

name? and in thy 

name have cast 

out devils? and in 

thy name done 

many wonderful 

works? 

7:23 And then will I 

profess unto them, 

I never knew you: 

depart from me, ye 

that work iniquity. 

Accept God's Free 

Gift of eternal life 

through his Sinless 

Son, the Lord Jesus 

Christ. It is a free gift 

to you, but it cost Jesus

Christ his life! You do 

not have to work to 

earn a Gift - It is free!

Romans 6:23

For the wages of sin is 

death; but the gift of 

God is eternal life 

through Jesus Christ 

our Lord.

Ask Jesus Christ to be 

your personal Saviour 

and Lord of your life.

Romans 10:13 

For whosoever shall 

call upon the name 

of the Lord shall be 

saved. 

So, if you did that and

sincerely meant it,

then you are now a

Christian! Welcome

to the family. 

Romans 10:9  

That if thou shalt confess 

with thy mouth the Lord 

Jesus, and shalt believe 

in thine heart that God 

hath raised him from 

the dead, thou shalt 

be saved. 

And when you die, you 

will go straight to heaven

to be with Jesus Christ 

forever and ever! The

following Bible verse

is one of my favorites.

It gave me comfort when

I went through double

breast cancer surgery

for I knew that if I died

on the operating table

I would immediately be

in heaven with Jesus!

Knowing that is why I

no longer fear what 

comes after death. 

What freedom there is 

in knowing that.

2 Corinthians 5:8  

We are confident, I say, 

and willing rather to be 

absent from the body, 

and to be present with 

the Lord.

One note to all dear 

Catholics: The Catholic

church says that it is 

wrong to believe that 

you can know you are 

saved before you die. 

Please think about

this: God is a God of 

love. After all he sent

his Son to die for your

sins so you could be

with him in heaven for

eternity! That is love!

Why would a God of love

want you to worry all of

your life whether you will 

go to heaven or hell when

you die? God in heaven 

wants us to have peace 

and joy in this life as we 

live for him and draw 

others to him as their 

Saviour. Only a cruel 

God would want us 

worried and stressed 

about what comes after 

death. But GOD LOVES

YOU and wants you to 

have peace knowing that

you are saved now and 

can know now that you 

are going to heaven when

you die! Please trust your

loving heavenly Father's 

Holy Word (the King James

Bible) when God tells you 

that you will be with Him 

after death if you trusted

Jesus Christ as your 

Saviour!

And now that you have 

become a Christian, it

is important to learn how

to live a life that glorifies

God in heaven who gave

you the Gift of salvation.
