Was Mary A Perpetual Virgin?

Is Mary, the mother of
Jesus Christ, a
perpetual virgin? Let
us see what God's
Holy Word, the King
James Bible, says; and
then it will be up to you
whether you believe
God's Holy
Spirit-inspired
Word, the King
James Bible, or
man-made traditions
of your church.

In the beginning of
Jesus' ministry, his
mother, and others,
went to Capernaum
before the Passover
began in Jerusalem.

In the following Bible
verse, the 'brethren'
spoken of cannot be
'spiritual' brothers of
Jesus as the Catholic
Church teaches
because it is speaking
of both his "brethren"
(his half-brothers) and
his "disciples" (who
would be his 'spiritual'
brothers). So the
brethren this verse
speaks of is talking
about Jesus' half
brothers, meaning
that Mary the mother
of Jesus had other
children after she
bore Jesus!

John 2:12
After this he went
down to Capernaum,
he [Jesus], and his
mother, and his
brethren, and his
disciples: and they
continued there not
many days.

In the Bible verses below,
we are shown that
Mary's husband, Joseph,
only abstained from
having a physical
relationship with her
until Jesus was born!
And the only reason he
abstained from having a
normal intimate
relationship with Mary
after they were married
and before Jesus was
born was so that no one
could mistakenly say
that Joseph was the
father of Jesus because
the Father of Jesus is
God the Father in
heaven!

Matthew
1:23 Behold, a virgin
shall be with child, and
shall bring forth a son,
and they shall call his
name Emmanuel, which
being interpreted is,
God with us.
1:24 Then Joseph being
raised from sleep did
as the angel of the
Lord had bidden him,
and took unto him his
wife:
1:25 And knew her not
till
she had brought forth
her firstborn son: and
he called his name
JESUS.

In the Bible verses
below (and in Mark
3:31 and 6:3, and
again in Luke 8:20),
it tells of the time when
Jesus' mother and
"brethren" came to
where he was
preaching; and the
crowd told Jesus that
they desired to speak
with him. These
verses name his four
half-brothers. We are
not told the names of
his half-sisters, but we
do know that there are
at least two because
the Bible mentions his
"sisters" (plural).

Matthew
12:46 While he yet
talked to the people,
behold, his mother
and his brethren
stood without, desiring
to speak with him.

Matthew
13:55 Is not this the
carpenter's son? is
not his mother
called Mary? and
his brethren, James,
and Joses, and
Simon, and Judas?

13:56 And his sisters,
are they not all with us?
Whence then hath this
man all these things?

Jesus' half-brothers did
not believe in him as
their Messiah /
Saviour until after
His resurrection, so
the term "brethren"
in this next verse
could not mean
"spiritual" brothers
as the Catholic church
teaches because his
brothers did not
believe Jesus was
the Messiah at that
time!

John 7:5
For neither did his
brethren believe in
him.

After Jesus Christ's
death and resurrection,
then we know that at
least two of his
half-brothers became
his followers because
they each wrote a
Book in the New
Testament (James
and Jude).

Acts 1:14
These all continued
with one accord in
prayer and supplication,
with the women, and
Mary the mother of
Jesus, and with his
brethren.

The Apostle Paul
spoke of seeing
Jesus' half-brother,
James, who wrote
the Bible Book of
the same name.

Galatians
1:18 Then after three
years I went up to
Jerusalem to see Peter,
and abode with him
fifteen days.

1:19 But other of the
apostles saw I none,
save [except] James the
Lord's [half] brother.

Jude (short for Judas -
not Judas Iscariot who
betrayed Jesus), is the
brother of James and
another half-brother of
Jesus, who wrote the
New Testament Book
of Jude.

Jude 1:1
Jude, the servant of
Jesus Christ, and
brother of James, to
them that are sanctified
by God the Father,
and preserved in
Jesus Christ, and
called:

Mark 15:40 below
mentions those two
sons and a daughter
named Salome. Since
all of the following
verses point to Jesus'
mother Mary and his
half-brothers, it seems
that Salome may be
the name of one of
Jesus' half-sisters!

Matthew 13:55
Is not this the
carpenter's
[step] son? is not
his mother called
Mary? and his
brethren, James,
and Joses, and
Simon, and Judas?

Matthew 27:56
Among which was Mary
Magdalene, and Mary
the mother of James
and Joses, and the
mother of Zebedee's
children.

Mark 6:3
Is not this the carpenter,
the son of Mary, the
brother of James,
and Joses, and of
Juda [Judas], and
Simon? and are not
his sisters here with
us? And they were
offended at him.

Mark 15:40
There were also women
looking on afar off:
among whom was Mary
Magdalene, and Mary
the mother of James
the less and of Joses,
and Salome;

So, to conclude this
Bible study, Mary was
not a perpetual virgin.
She had other children
after she had Jesus,
and she and Joseph
had a normal physical
married life together!
Now that you know
what God's Bible
teaches, will you
believe God Holy
Word or will you
believe church
traditions?

Good news! If you
would like to know
how to get to heaven
when you die, here
is how God made
THE WAY into His
Holy heaven:

How can you be
saved from your
sins and know that
you will go to
heaven when you
die? God's Holy
Word, the King
James Bible, tells
us how:

FIRST, DEAR
READER, PLEASE
FORGIVE ME FOR
SOMETIMES USING
LARGE PRINT, OR
CAPITAL OR BOLD
LETTERS. I DO NOT
MEAN TO SOUND
LIKE I AM
SCREAMING. IT IS
JUST THAT SATAN
HATES THIS
MESSAGE AND
THE TEXT KEEPS
COMING OUT IN
VERY TINY
PRINT THAT IS
ALMOST
UNREADABLE.

NOW TO OUR
BIBLE STUDY:

Agree with
God in heaven
that you are
sinner and need
Saviour.
GOD
SAYS WE ARE
ALL SINNERS.
But keep reading
because there is
Good News for
you:

Romans 3:23
For all have
sinned, and
come short of the
glory of God;

Believe that Jesus
Christ, the Sinless
Son of God, died
on the cross to
pay for your sins
and mine. Three
days later He
rose from the
dead.

Romans 5:8
But God
commendeth
his love toward
us, in that, while
we were yet
sinners, Christ
died for us.

Repent of
trusting in
anything or
anyone other
than Jesus
Christ (i.e.
baptism, good
works, money/
tithes, man-made
church traditions,
religious
ceremonies, or
in religious
leaders]
to save you.

Titus 3:5
Not by works of
righteousness
which we have
done, but
according to his
mercy he saved
us, by the
washing of
regeneration, and
renewing of the
Holy Ghost;

Accept God's
Free Gift of
eternal life
through his
Sinless Son,
the Lord Jesus
Christ. It is a
free gift to you;
but it cost Jesus
Christ his life!
You do not have
to work to earn
a Gift - It is free!

Romans 6:23
For the wages of
sin is death; but
the gift of God
is eternal life
through Jesus
Christ our Lord.

God tells us that
as many as
received Jesus
Christ as their
Saviour and
believed on his
name, he gave
them power to
become the sons
[and daughters]
of God the Father
in heaven!

John 1:12
But as many as
received him, to
them gave he
power to
become the
sons of God,
even to them
that believe
on his name.

So, if you just
accepted Jesus
Christ as your
personal Saviour
and asked God
the Father in
Heaven to forgive
you of your sins
and told Him that
you believe that
Jesus Christ, His
Sinless Son,
paid for your
sins on the
cross and rose
from the dead,
you are now a son
(or daughter) of
the living God of
heaven!

And when you die,
you will go
straight to heaven
to be with Jesus
Christ forever and
ever!

AND NOW THAT
YOU ARE A
CHRISTIAN, IT
IS IMPORTANT
TO LEARN HOW
TO LIVE A LIFE
THAT GLORIFIES
GOD IN HEAVEN.
