Is Jesus The Jewish Messiah?

This study shows prophecies
from the Torah or Tanakh
(what we Christians call
the Old Testament) that
spoke of the coming
Hebrew (Jewish) Mashiach
/Messiah and how those
prophecies were fulfilled
by Yeshua/Jesus. I have
grouped the prophecies
in order by the Bible
Books and verses as they
appear in the Scriptures.

preached unto you, which
also ye have received, and
wherein ye stand;
15:2 By which also ye are
saved, if ye keep in memory
what I preached unto you,
unless ye have believed
in vain.
15:3 For I delivered unto you
first of all that which I also
received, how that Christ
[Yeshua] died for our sins
according to the scriptures;
15:4 And that he was buried,
and that he rose again the
third day according to the
scriptures:
15:5 And that he was seen of

above five hundred brethren at
once; of whom the greater
part remain unto this present,
but some are fallen asleep

Messiah would cry “My God, my

P - Psalms
22:1 My God, my God, why hast
thou forsaken me? Why art thou
so far from helping me, and from

and all my bones are out of joint:
my heart is like wax; it is melted
in the midst of my bowels.
22:18 My strength is dried up like
a potsherd; and my tongue
cleaveth to my jaws; and thou
hast brought me into the dust
of death. For dogs have
compassed me: the assembly
of the wicked have inclosed me:
they pierced my hands and
my feet. I may tell all my
bones: they look and stare
upon me. They part my
garments among them, and
cast lots upon my vesture.
FP – Matthew 27:46 (Yeshua
on the cross said:) And about

why hast thou forsaken me?
Messiah's body would be pierced.
P - Psalm 22:16

the virgin's name was Mary.
1:28 And the angel came in unto
her, and said, Hail, thou that art
highly favoured, the Lord is with
thee: blessed art thou among
women.
1:29 And when she saw him, she
was troubled at his saying, and
cast in her mind what manner of
salutation this should be.
1:30 And the angel said unto her,
Fear not, Mary: for thou hast
found favour with God.
1:31 And, behold, thou shalt
conceive in thy womb, and
bring forth a son, and shalt
call his name JESUS.
1:32 He shall be great, and shall
be called the Son of the Highest:

on the ignorant, and on them
that are out of the way; for that
he himself also is compassed
with infirmity.
5:3 And by reason hereof he
ought, as for the people, so
also for himself, to offer for sins.
5:4 And no man taketh this honour
unto himself, but he that is called
of God, as was Aaron.
5:5 So also Christ glorified not
himself to be made an high
priest; but he that said unto

righteous before God,
walking in all the
commandments and
ordinances of the Lord
blameless.

because that Elisabeth was
barren, and they both were
now well stricken in years.
1:8  And it came to pass, that
while he executed the priest's
office before God in the order
of his course,
1:9 According to the custom
of the priest's office, his lot
was to burn incense when
he went into the temple of
the Lord.

him an angel of the Lord
standing on the right side of
the altar of incense.

wife Elisabeth shall bear thee
a son, and thou shalt call
his name John.

and gladness; and many shall
rejoice at his birth.

shall drink neither wine nor
strong drink; and he shall be
filled with the Holy Ghost,
even from his mother's
womb.
1:16 And many of the children of
Israel shall he turn to the Lord
their God.
1:76 And thou, child, shalt be
called the prophet of the

him the whole band of soldiers.
27:28 And they stripped him, and
put on him a scarlet robe.
27:29 And when they had platted
a crown of thorns, they put it
upon his head, and a reed in his
right hand: and they bowed the
knee before him, and mocked
him, saying, Hail, King of the
Jews!

him on the head.

2:23 Who, when he was reviled,
reviled not again; when he
suffered, he threatened not;
but committed himself to him
that judgeth righteously:

to be delivered.
27:59 And when Joseph had
taken the body, he wrapped

*************************************
Now, after seeing just some
of the many prophecies
from the Torah and
Tanahk (Old Testament)
that were fulfilled in the
Scriptures by Yeshua
(Jesus Christ), can you
trust that he is your
Maschiach / (Messiah /
Saviour)? If you would
like to make Yeshua
your Saviour, here is
how God's Holy Word,
says to do that:
Realize you are a sinner.
(God says we all are
sinners.)
Romans 3:23
For all have sinned, and
come short of the glory
of God;
Believe that Jesus Christ,
the Son of God, died for
your sins.
Romans 5:8
But God commendeth
his love toward us, in
that, while we were
yet sinners, [Jesus]
Christ died for us.
Repent of trusting
in anything other
than Jesus Christ
[i.e. good works]
to save you.
Titus 3:5
Not by works of
righteousness [i.e.,
good deeds, religious
ceremonies, money,
church traditions,
etc.] which we
have done, but
according to his
mercy he saved us,
by the washing of
regeneration, and
renewing of the
Holy Ghost;
Accept the gift of God
that is eternal life
through his Son,
the Lord Jesus Christ.
Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is
death; but the gift
of God is eternal life
through Jesus Christ
our Lord.
Jesus said we must
repent of our sins. To
repent means to have
a change of heart -
that we now desire to
turn away from our
sins and start living
in obedience to God
in heaven.
Luke 13:3
I tell you, Nay: but,
except ye repent, ye
shall all likewise
perish.
God tells us that as
many as received
Jesus as their
personal Saviour,
and believe on
his name, he
gave them power
to become the
sons of God.
So, if you accepted
Jesus Christ as
your Saviour and
Lord of your life,
you are now a
child of God!
Congratulations!
John 1:12
But as many as
received him
[Yeshua/Jesus Christ],
to them gave he power
to become the sons of
God, even to them that
believe on his name.
Then, find a local church or
a messianic church where
you can worship. Just in
case you have not heard
of a messianic church before,
hopefully this description
I found online will help...
Messianic congregations
(made up of both Jewish
and non-Jewish
Christians) are the same
as Christian churches in
the sense that they
support and teach the basic
tenets of Christianity. They
are different because
they do so in a Jewish
way, with Jewish liturgy
(form of worship), music
and other features of the
Jewish community life,
which adds a dimension
not found in other
Christian traditions.
If you have accepted
Yeshua as your
Maschiach, then
congratulations! I
hope to see
you in heaven!
Incidentally, you can
probably tell that I am
a Gentile (non-Jewish)
Christian who loves
Israel and the Jewish
people! You are God's
chosen people, and He is
going to use the Jewish
people mightily during
the great tribulation that is
going to come to the
earth when God brings
His wrath upon it for
rejecting His precious
sinless Son, Yeshua
[Jesus Christ] whom
He sacrificed to save
us from our sins!
Also, I have many
posts on this blog that
concern Israel and the
Jews that you may
be interested in
reading.
Genesis 12:3
And I will bless them
that bless thee [the
Hebrews / Jews], and
curse him that curseth
thee: and in thee shall
all families of the earth
be blessed.
I pray daily for the peace
of Jerusalem as it
says in God’s Holy
Word, the King James
Bible.
Psalm 122:6
Pray for the peace of
Jerusalem: they shall
prosper that love thee.
