I read somewhere that dear
Catholics have been taught
that Jesus Christ is
unapproachable, and that
is why they love and trust
Mary rather than trusting
in Jesus Christ, the Son
of God, who died for
their sins on the cross.
God's Holy Word, the
King James Bible, tells
us differently. The Bible
tells us repeatedly that
Jesus is both loving and
compassionate to us.
The words of Jesus Christ
The words of Jesus Christ
in this Bible study are in red.
Words in Bold are for
emphasis.
and loving. He loves us
so much that he was
willing to leave the glory
of heaven to come to
earth and be tortured
and nailed to a cross
to shed his Sinless
blood to pay for our
sins! The following
Bible study will show
you just how loving
Jesus is!
Even while he was dying,
nailed to a cross in
excruciating pain,
Jesus had compassion
and thoughtfulness for
his mother when he
told John, his youngest
disciple, to take care
of Mary as if she were
his own mother.
John
19:26 When Jesus therefore
saw his mother, and the
disciple standing by,
whom he loved, he saith
unto his mother, Woman,
behold thy son!
19:27 Then saith he to the
disciple, Behold thy
mother! And from that
hour that disciple took
her unto his own home.
When Jesus’ friend,
Lazarus, got sick and
died, Jesus groaned in
his spirit and he wept.
He grieved because
his beloved friends
were grieving.
John
11:1 Now a certain man was
sick, named Lazarus, of
Bethany, the town of
Mary and her sister
Martha.
11:3 Therefore his sisters
sent unto him, saying,
Lord, behold, he whom
thou lovest is sick.
11:4 When Jesus heard
that, he said, This
sickness is not unto
death, but for the
glory of God, that
the Son of God
might be glorified
thereby.
11:5 Now Jesus loved
Martha, and her sister,
and Lazarus.
11:32 Then when Mary
was come where Jesus
was, and saw him, she
fell down at his feet,
saying unto him, Lord,
if thou hadst been here,
my brother had not died.
11:33 When Jesus therefore
saw her weeping, and the
Jews also weeping which
came with her, he groaned
in the spirit, and was
troubled,
11:34 And said, Where
have ye laid him? They
said unto him, Lord,
come and see.
11:35 Jesus wept.
11:36 Then said the
Jews, Behold how he
loved him!
Jesus loves little children!
Kids can sense it when
someone is unkind or
stern or mean and not
someone they want to be
near. Kids can see right
through you; and they
wouldn't want to sit on
the lap of, or be near
someone, if he were not
loving, friendly, and kind.
The Bible tells us that
children came to Jesus
and he loved them,
and they let Jesus hold
them and touch them.
Mark
9:36 And he [Jesus] took a
child, and set him in the
midst of them: and
when he had taken
him in his arms, he
said unto them,
9:37 Whosoever shall receive
one of such children in my
name, receiveth me: and
whosoever shall receive
me, receiveth not me, but
him that sent me.
Mark
10:13 And they brought
young children to him, that
he should touch them: and
his disciples rebuked
those that brought them.
10:14 But when Jesus saw
it, he was much displeased,
and said unto them, Suffer
[Allow] the little children to
come unto me, and forbid
them not: for of such is
the kingdom of God.
10:15 Verily I say unto you,
Whosoever shall not
receive the kingdom of
God as a little child, he
shall not enter therein.
10:16 And he took them
up in his arms, put his
hands upon them, and
blessed them.
Matthew
18:2 And Jesus called a little
child unto him, and set him
in the midst of them,
18:3 And said, Verily I say
unto you, Except ye be
converted, and become
as little children, ye shall
not enter into the kingdom
of heaven.
18:4 Whosoever therefore
shall humble himself as
this little child, the same
is greatest in the kingdom
of heaven.
18:5 And whoso shall
receive one such little
child in my name
receiveth me.
18:6 But whoso shall offend
one of these little ones
which believe in me, it
were better for him that
a millstone were hanged
about his neck, and that
he were drowned in the
depth of the sea.
Matthew
18:10 Take heed that ye
despise not one of these
little ones; for I say unto
you, That in heaven their
angels do always
behold the face of my
Father which is in
heaven.
Matthew
19:13 Then were there
brought unto him little
children, that he should
put his hands on them,
and pray: and the
disciples rebuked them.
19:14 But Jesus said,
Suffer [Allow] little
children, and forbid
them not, to come unto
me: for of such is the
kingdom of heaven.
Luke
9:47 And Jesus, perceiving
the thought of their heart,
took a child, and set him
by him,
9:48 And said unto them,
Whosoever shall receive
this child in my name
receiveth me: and
whosoever shall receive
me receiveth him that sent
me: for he that is least
among you all, the same
shall be great.
Luke
18:16 But Jesus called
them unto him, and said,
Suffer little children to
come unto me, and
forbid them not: for
of such is the kingdom
of God.
Jesus Loves Us!
John
13:34 A new commandment
I give unto you, That ye
love one another; as I
have loved you, that ye
also love one another.
John
14:21 He that hath my
commandments, and
keepeth them, he it is
that loveth me: and he
that loveth me shall be
loved of my Father,
and I will love him,
and will manifest
myself to him.
John
15:9 As the Father hath
loved me, so have I
loved you: continue
ye in my love.
John
15:12 This is my
commandment, That
ye love one another,
as I have loved you.
15:13 Greater love hath
no man than this, that
a man lay down his
life for his friends.
15:14 Ye are my friends,
if ye do whatsoever I
command you.
Ephesians 3:19
And to know the love of
Christ, which passeth
knowledge, that ye might
be filled with all the
fulness of God.
Ephesians 5:2
Ephesians 5:2
And walk in love, as Christ
also hath loved us, and
hath given himself for us
an offering and a sacrifice
to God for a sweetsmelling
savour.
1 Timothy
1:14 And the grace of our
Lord was exceeding
abundant with faith and
love which is in Christ
Jesus.
Galatians 2:20
Galatians 2:20
I am crucified with Christ:
nevertheless I live; yet not
I, but Christ liveth in me:
and the life which I now
live in the flesh I live by
the faith of the Son of
God, who loved me,
and gave himself for
me.
Romans
8:35 Who shall separate us
from the love of Christ?
shall tribulation, or distress,
or persecution, or famine,
or nakedness, or peril, or
sword?
8:36 As it is written, For
thy sake we are killed all
the day long; we are
accounted as sheep for
the slaughter.
8:37 Nay, in all these
things we are more than
conquerors through him
that loved us [Jesus].
8:38 For I am persuaded,
that neither death, nor life,
nor angels, nor principalities,
nor powers, nor things
present, nor things to
come,
8:39 Nor height, nor depth,
nor any other creature,
shall be able to separate
us from the love of God,
which is in Christ Jesus
our Lord.
John [Jesus said:]
15:12 This is my commandment,
That ye love one another, as
I have loved you.
John
3:16 For God so loved the
world, that he gave his only
begotten Son [Jesus Christ],
that whosoever believeth in
him should not perish, but
have everlasting life.
3:17 For God sent not his
Son into the world to
condemn the world; but
that the world through
him might be saved.
Jesus has compassion
for people!
Matthew 9:36
But when he [Jesus Christ]
saw the multitudes, he was
moved with compassion
on them, because they
fainted, and were
scattered abroad, as
sheep having no shepherd.
Matthew 14:14
And Jesus went forth, and
saw a great multitude,
and was moved with
compassion toward
them, and he healed
their sick.
Matthew 15:32
Then Jesus called his
Then Jesus called his
disciples unto him,
and said, I have
compassion on the
multitude, because
they continue with me
now three days, and
have nothing to eat: and
I will not send them
away fasting, lest they
faint in the way.
Matthew 20:34
So Jesus had
compassion on them,
and touched their eyes:
and immediately their
eyes received sight,
and they followed him.
Mark 1:41
And Jesus, moved with
compassion, put forth
his hand, and touched
him, and saith unto him,
I will; be thou clean.
Mark 6:34
And Jesus, when he came
out, saw much people, and
was moved with
compassion toward
them, because they were
as sheep not having a
shepherd: and he began
to teach them many
things.
Mark 8:2 [Jesus said:]
I have compassion on the
multitude, because they
have now been with me
three days, and have
nothing to eat:
Jesus saw a funeral
procession of a man who
was the only son of his
mother; and Jesus had
compassion on her and
raised her son from the
dead.
Luke
7:12 Now when he came
nigh to the gate of the city,
behold, there was a dead
man carried out, the
only son of his mother,
and she was a widow:
and much people of the
city was with her.
7:13 And when the Lord
saw her, he had
compassion on her, and
said unto her, Weep not.
7:14 And he came and
touched the bier: and they
that bare him stood still. And
he said, Young man, I say
unto thee, Arise.
7:15 And he that was dead
sat up, and began to speak.
And he delivered him to
his mother.
A woman who had had
internal bleeding for many
years and could find no
cure, touched the hem
of Jesus’ garment believing
that he could heal her.
Jesus saw that she was
fearful and trembling,
and he called her
"Daughter", a term of
endearment, told her to
go in peace, and that
her faith (in him) had
made her well.
Mark
5:25 And a certain woman,
which had an issue of blood
twelve years,
5:26 And had suffered
many things of many
physicians, and had spent
all that she had, and was
nothing bettered, but
rather grew worse,
5:27 When she had heard
of Jesus, came in the
press behind, and
touched his garment.
5:28 For she said, If I may
touch but his clothes, I
shall be whole.
5:29 And straightway the
fountain of her blood was
dried up; and she felt in
her body that she was
healed of that plague.
5:30 And Jesus, immediately
knowing in himself that virtue
had gone out of him, turned
him about in the press,
and said, Who touched
my clothes?
5:31 And his disciples said
unto him, Thou seest the
multitude thronging thee,
and sayest thou, Who
touched me?
5:32 And he looked round
about to see her that had
done this thing.
5:33 But the woman
fearing and trembling,
knowing what was done
in her, came and fell down
before him, and told him
all the truth.
5:34 And he said unto her,
Daughter, thy faith hath
made thee whole; go in
peace, and be whole of
thy plague.
Jesus cares very much
about people.
During his three years of
ministry, Jesus healed
multitudes of people who
were sick, diseased,
lame, blind, mute, and
possessed of devils. He
even raised some people
from the dead!
The Bible says in John
21:25 that there were so
many other things that
Jesus did, that if they
should be written down,
even the world itself could
not contain the books
that should be written!
Here are just some of his
miracles of healing!
Matthew
4:24 And his fame went
throughout all Syria: and
they brought unto him all
sick people that were
taken with divers
diseases and torments,
and those which were
possessed with devils,
and those which were
lunatick, and those
that had the palsy;
and he healed them.
Matthew
8:16 When the even was
come, they brought unto
him many that were
possessed with devils:
and he cast out the
spirits with his word,
and healed all that were
sick:
Matthew
12:15 But when Jesus
knew it, he withdrew
himself from thence:
and great multitudes
followed him, and he
healed them all;
Matthew
12:22 Then was brought
unto him one possessed
with a devil, blind, and
dumb: and he healed
him, insomuch that the
blind and dumb both
spake and saw.
Matthew
14:14 And Jesus went forth,
and saw a great multitude,
and was moved with
compassion toward them,
and he healed their sick.
Matthew
15:30 And great multitudes
came unto him, having with
them those that were lame,
blind, dumb, maimed, and
many others, and cast
them down at Jesus'
feet; and he healed them:
Matthew
19:2 And great multitudes
followed him; and he healed
them there.
Matthew
21:14 And the blind and the
lame came to him in the
temple; and he healed
them.
Mark
1:34 And he healed many
that were sick of divers
diseases, and cast out
many devils; and
suffered not the devils
to speak, because
they knew him.
Mark
3:10 For he had healed many;
insomuch that they pressed
upon him for to touch him,
as many as had plagues.
Luke
4:40 Now when the sun was
setting, all they that had any
sick with divers diseases
brought them unto him;
and he laid his hands on
every one of them, and
healed them.
Luke
5:15 But so much the more
went there a fame abroad of
him: and great multitudes
came together to hear,
and to be healed by
him [Jesus] of their
infirmities.
Luke
6:17 And he [Jesus] came
down with them, and stood
in the plain, and the
company of his disciples,
and a great multitude of
people out of all Judaea
and Jerusalem, and from
the sea coast of Tyre and
Sidon, which came to hear
him, and to be healed
of their diseases;
Luke
6:18 And they that were
vexed with unclean spirits:
and they were healed.
Luke
6:19 And the whole
multitude sought to touch
him: for there went virtue
out of him, and healed
them all.
Luke
9:11 And the people, when
they knew it, followed him
[Jesus]: and he received
them, and spake unto
them of the kingdom of
God, and healed them
that had need of healing.
Luke
9:42 And as he was yet a
coming, the devil threw him
down, and tare him. And
Jesus rebuked the
unclean spirit, and
healed the child, and
delivered him again to
his father.
9:42 And as he was yet a
coming, the devil threw him
down, and tare him. And
Jesus rebuked the
unclean spirit, and
healed the child, and
delivered him again to
his father.
On the night of Jesus’
arrest in the Garden of
Gethsemane, Peter, one
of his disciples got angry
and cut off the ear of one
of the men who was there
to take Jesus into custody.
Jesus touched the man’s
ear and healed him!
Luke
22:50 And one of them
smote the servant of the
high priest, and cut off
his right ear.
22:51 And Jesus
answered and said,
Suffer ye thus far.
And he touched his
ear, and healed him.
Jesus made us
wonderful promises of
comfort before He was
raised from the dead
and ascended back
into heaven.
John
14:1 Let not your heart be
troubled: ye believe in God,
believe also in me.
14:2 In my Father's house
[in heaven] are many
mansions: if it were not
so, I would have told you.
I go to prepare a place
for you.
14:3 And if I go and
prepare a place for you,
I will come again, and
receive you unto myself;
that where I am, there ye
may be also.
John
14:27 Peace I leave with
you, my peace I give unto
you: not as the world
giveth, give I unto you.
Let not your heart be
troubled, neither let it be
afraid.
One of my personal
favorite verses is
that comforted me when
I went through double
breast cancer surgery
was this:
1 Peter
5:7 Casting all your care
upon him [Jesus]; for he careth
for you.
John [Jesus said:]
10:11 I am the good shepherd:
the good shepherd giveth his
life for the sheep.
Matthew [Jesus said:]
20:28 Even as the Son of
man [Jesus Christ] came not
to be ministered unto, but to
minister, and to give his
life a ransom for many.
Romans
5:8 But God commendeth
his love toward us, in that,
while we were yet sinners,
Christ died for us.
1 John
4:9 In this was manifested
the love of God toward us,
because that God sent his
only begotten Son [Jesus]
into the world, that we
might live through him.
4:10 Herein is love, not
that we loved God, but
that he loved us, and sent
his Son to be the
propitiation [payment]
for our sins.
John [Jesus Christ said:]
3:16 For God so loved the
world, that he gave his
only begotten Son, that
whosoever believeth in
him should not perish,
but have everlasting life.
3:17 For God sent not his
Son into the world to
condemn the world; but
that the world through
him might be saved.
Romans
10:9 That if thou shalt
confess with thy mouth
the Lord Jesus, and
shalt believe in thine
heart that God hath
raised him from the dead,
thou shalt be saved.
10:10 For with the heart
man believeth unto
righteousness; and with
the mouth confession is
made unto salvation.
1 John
5:13 These things have I
written unto you that
believe on the name of
the Son of God; that ye
may know that ye have
eternal life, and that ye
may believe on the name
of the Son of God
[Jesus Christ].
And if you would like
to be saved from your
sins, the God's Holy
Word, the King James
Bible, tell us how. And
once you are saved
from your sins, you can
know that when you die,
you will then go into
heaven. It is so
comforting knowing I
have a reservation in
heaven. Because of
that I no longer fear
what comes after
death - now that is
how to have peace
and joy! Now, here
is that good news:
How can I be saved
from my sins and know
that I will go to heaven
when I die? God's Holy
Word, the King James
Bible, tells us how:
Agree with God in
heaven that you are
a sinner and need a
Saviour. GOD SAYS
WE ARE ALL
SINNERS. But keep
reading because
there is Good News
for you:
Romans 3:23
For all have sinned,
and come short of the
glory of God;
Be willing to turn from
your sin (repent).
Acts 17:30
And the times of this
ignorance God winked
at; but now commandeth
all men every where to
repent:
Believe that Jesus
Christ, the Sinless Son
of God, shed his blood
on the cross to pay
for your sins and
mine, was buried,
and that three
days later He rose
from the dead.
Romans 10:9
That if thou shalt confess
with thy mouth the Lord
Jesus, and shalt believe
in thine heart that God
hath raised him from
the dead, thou shalt
be saved.
Repent of trusting in
anything or anyone
other than Jesus
Christ (i.e. baptism,
good works, idols,
false gods, $/tithes,
man-made church
rules or traditions,
or religious
ceremonies) to
save you.
Titus 3:5
Not by works of
righteousness which we
have done, but according
to his mercy he saved us,
by the washing of
regeneration, and
renewing of the Holy
Ghost;
Jesus said that we do
not get to heaven by our
good works (stuff we
have done). See verses
7:22 and 7:23 below!
Matthew
7:21 Not every one that
saith unto me, Lord,
Lord, shall enter into
the kingdom of heaven;
but he that doeth the
will of my Father which
is in heaven.
7:22 Many will say to
me in that day, Lord,
Lord, have we not
prophesied in thy
name? and in thy
name have cast
out devils? and in
thy name done
many wonderful
works?
7:23 And then will I
profess unto them,
I never knew you:
depart from me, ye
that work iniquity.
Accept God's Free
Gift of eternal life
through his Sinless
Son, the Lord Jesus
Christ. It is a free gift
to you, but it cost Jesus
Christ his life! You do
not have to work to
earn a Gift - It is free!
Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is
death; but the gift of
God is eternal life
through Jesus Christ
our Lord.
Ask Jesus Christ to be
your personal Saviour
and Lord of your life.
Romans 10:13
For whosoever shall
call upon the name
of the Lord shall be
saved.
So, if you did that and
sincerely meant it,
then you are now a
Christian! Welcome
to the family.
Romans 10:9
That if thou shalt confess
with thy mouth the Lord
Jesus, and shalt believe
in thine heart that God
hath raised him from
the dead, thou shalt
be saved.
And when you die, you
will go straight to heaven
to be with Jesus Christ
forever and ever! The
following Bible verse
is one of my favorites.
It gave me comfort when
I went through double
breast cancer surgery
for I knew that if I died
on the operating table
I would immediately be
in heaven with Jesus!
Knowing that is why I
no longer fear what
comes after death.
What freedom there is
in knowing that.
2 Corinthians 5:8
We are confident, I say,
and willing rather to be
absent from the body,
and to be present with
the Lord.
One note to all dear
Catholics: The Catholic
church says that it is
wrong to believe that
you can know you are
saved before you die.
Please think about
this: God is a God of
love. After all he sent
his Son to die for your
sins so you could be
with him in heaven for
eternity! That is love!
Why would a God of love
want you to worry all of
your life whether you will
go to heaven or hell when
you die? God in heaven
wants us to have peace
and joy in this life as we
live for him and draw
others to him as their
Saviour. Only a cruel
God would want us
worried and stressed
about what comes after
death. But GOD LOVES
YOU and wants you to
have peace knowing that
you are saved now and
can know now that you
are going to heaven when
you die! Please trust your
loving heavenly Father's
Holy Word (the King James
Bible) when God tells you
that you will be with Him
after death if you trusted
Jesus Christ as your
Saviour!
And now that you
are a Christian, it
is important to
learn how to live a
life that glorifies
God in heaven.
