Praying When You Do Not Know What To Do

At the very end of of this post
is an example of a prayer for
times when you are in a
situation that you do not
what to do or even how
to pray about it.

First, these few Bible
verses may be of some
help to show you that God
does not expect us to
handle our earthly
problems alone, but
His Holy Spirit (the
Holy Ghost) who
lives inside all true
followers of Jesus
Christ will help us.

Romans
8:26 Likewise the [Holy]
Spirit also helpeth our
infirmities: for we know
not what we should
pray for as we ought: but
the Spirit itself maketh
intercession for us with
groanings which cannot
be uttered.

8:27 And he that searcheth
the hearts knoweth what
is the mind of the Spirit,
because he maketh
intercession for the saints
[believers] according to
the will of God.

8:28 And we know that all
things work together for
good to them that love
God, to them who are
the called according to
his purpose.

Now to a suggested
prayer.

I believe I got the idea for
this prayer from something
I read online. If I have
used something that is
infringing on a copyright,
please let me know and
I will remove it. Honestly,
I cannot remember
where I got it. I write notes
all the time of things that
touch my heart and that
I want to post on, but many
times I don't get to post on
those things until months
or sometimes years later.

Dear Heavenly Father,

Here is a problem that I do
not know how to handle. I
cannot do anything about it,
and I need your help. Will
you please take over this
burden for me, and then,
please help me to trust it
completely to you and
then to not worry about
it?

And please help me to
remember the promises
which you gave us in
your precious Holy Bible
that show us that you
never meant for us to
carry our burdens alone,
but that we should share
all our troubles with you.

1 Peter 5:7
Casting all your care
upon him; for he careth
for you.

Hebrews 13:5(b)
:for he hath said, I will
never leave thee, nor
forsake thee.

And dear LORD, please
show me what you want
me to do in this situation.
Thank you. In Jesus'
precious name I pray.
Amen.
