If I Am Forgiven Why Do I Feel So Guilty?

Forgiveness is not
based on our
feelings but on
Jesus Christ's shed
blood on the cross!
No where in the
Bible does it say
we have to feel
saved, or feel
forgiven.

Our feelings are
part of our sinful
human nature we
inherited from Adam
and Eve, and those
feelings do not
determine whether
God has forgiven us
or not. We did not
save ourselves;
Jesus Christ's
sinless blood on
the cross paid
for all our sins
for all time!

Hebrews 10:10

By the which will
we are sanctified
through the
offering of the
body of Jesus
Christ ONCE
for all.

The Bible says that
after we have
confessed our sins
to God, we can know
that He has forgiven
us because His Holy
Word, the King James
Bible, says so! And
then we can live
each day as a new,
unspoiled day for
Him, and try to make
it a better day than
yesterday in which
to bring honor to
Him, our loving,
heavenly Father God!

1 John 1:9

If we confess our
sins, he is faithful
and just to forgive
us our sins, and to
cleanse us from all
unrighteousness.

The following Bible
verses show us that
God forgives our sins,
and then He forgets
them! So, if God no
longer remembers
our sins which He
has forgiven us for,
then why should you
and I keep
remembering them?
God is telling us in
His Word that He
forgives and forgets in
order to comfort us that
if we were truly
sorry when we asked
for his forgiveness,
he is faithful to
forgive us which
restores our
relationship with
him. So, if we
don't forgive
ourselves after we
have sincerely
confessed our sin
to him, we are
saying that we
know better than
God does whether
we deserve to be
forgiven! Ouch.
Been there, done
that.

Now we know that
east can never meet
west. That is how far
God has removed
our sins from us!

Psalm 103:12

As far as the east is
from the west, so far
hath he removed
our transgressions
from us.

Isaiah 43:25

I, even I, am he that
blotteth out thy
transgressions for
mine own sake,
and will not
remember thy sins.

Micah 7:19

He will turn again,
he will have
compassion upon
us; he will subdue
our iniquities; and
thou wilt cast all
their sins into the
depths of the sea.

Hebrews 10:17

And their sins
and iniquities will
I remember no more.

Just remember that
each new day is clean
and pure - free from
sin and errors. We
can make today a
better day than
yesterday, and make
our loving, heavenly
Father proud of us!
Each new day is a
chance at a fresh
start!
